First, we put the abuses of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib in proper context. One meaning of this story is to demonstrate that we are in a battle between two civilizations. Ours is a modern one, in which people who violate civilized standards on treatment of prisoners will be prosecuted and punished. On the other side is a barbaric civilization, in which graft, torture and mass murder are not only not punished, the perpetrators are praised and supported. No one should doubt at this point that we face a conflict as clear as that between the Romans and the Goths....

Let's face it. . . the dems are so back-stabbing and nasty that they have no quams about eating their own. Their original plan was to show "unity" at the debates to collectively chip away at Bush, but the temptation to take pot-shots at each other was too overwhelming, and their true nature could not be contained. Thus, the intra-party mud slinging has errupted. Therefore, we have every reason to believe that they will use any ammo they have to knock fellow candidates out of the race. They cannot resist their selfish impulses. So, let's let the other nine dwarves...

General Wesley Clark, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and Friend of Bill's (FOB) is considering a run for President of these United States. In an AP report of 29 June, former-President William Jefferson Clinton stated that Wesley Clark would make a fine president, if he ran. After all, what are friends for? There is also a grassroots campaign effort to "draft Wesley Clark" for president which states, "We believe America needs a new president. One who can be a voice for common sense and moderation in these dangerous, uncertain times. One with the unquestionable leadership and foreign policy credentials...
