Brockton Mayor William Carpenter slammed Warren's bill on behalf of the Masphee Wampanoag tribe, which would override a federal judge's decision last year to block the tribe's plan for a luxury gaming resort in East Taunton. A Miccosukee tribal member owes back taxes on gambling revenue, a federal appeals ruled Monday in a decision that experts believe could pave the way for the federal government to collect more than $1 billion in overdue personal income taxes. Delaware will become the first new state to offer sports betting following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the federal ban on sports gambling, Governor John Carney announced. The betting will begin Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at all three casinos in the state. Betting will include single game and championship wagering on professional baseball, football, hockey, basketball, soccer, golf and auto-racing. The Supreme Court made the decision May 14.

Daily resort fees and parking charges are rising and spreading in Las Vegas, adding as much as $45 a day to visitors' hotel bills. The publisher of Las Vegas Advisor blames the extra charges for a recent decline in the number of visitors.
