Parents in a Nashville suburb expressed alarm this week because their middle school children are learning about Islam in a world history class but, they say, the school is pointedly ignoring Christianity. Brandee Porterfield, who has a seventh-grade daughter at Spring Hill Middle School in Spring Hill, Tenn., said her daughter came home with world history schoolwork all about the Five Pillars of Islam and other core teachings of the Abrahamic religion. Specifically, according to Spring Hill Home Page, Porterfield said her daughter’s world history project was based around the Five Pillars. The first and most important pillar — the shahada in Arabic...

After doing a post on liberalism being the ideology of peace I thought a look into its five pillars might be in order. It may seem incomplete, but there's not enough bandwidth on the internet to fully illustrate the full extent to which liberals embody these five pillars:1. Selfishness, envy, and entitlement 2. Narcissism 3. Deficient intelligence/logic 4. Rank hypocrisy ^^^The next time they congratulate themselves for being anti-war... ^^^ The "Guy Fawkes" masks donned by the "downtrodden" 99% are manufactured in the 3 world. 5. A complete lack of awareness

If any of you watched Obama's propaganda speech earlier today, did you find it as shocking as I did when he described his plan for America in the context of "five pillars"? Last month Obama revealed his Five Pillars of Education ............... Today he declared his dedication to what he called the "five pillars" of his new "house upon a rock". Obama pledged "an unrelenting, unyielding, day-by-day effort from this administration to fight for economic recovery on all fronts." Unrelenting indeed. Dear leader is on our TV screens every day. He is looting our wealth, our children's wealth, and the...

According to the White House, President Obama is planning to focus on “five pillars” during his 2011 State of the Union address — innovation, education, infrastructure, deficit reduction, and reforming government. Poor choice to focus on five points and call them “pillars.” As the president surely knows, there are “five pillars” of Islam which are the foundation for the Muslim life. Is this subliminal bow to Mecca worth opening that “can of worms” at the same time he is making a head fake towards center? The president says that his focus will be “jobs” and, according to Chip Reid, the...

This news about President Obama's speech at Georgetown, reported by Catholic News Service, is causing a bit of a stir:Georgetown University says it covered over the monogram “IHS”--symbolizing the name of Jesus Christ—because it was inscribed on a pediment on the stage where President Obama spoke at the university on Tuesday and the White House had asked Georgetown to cover up all signs and symbols there. As of Wednesday afternoon, the “IHS” monogram that had previously adorned the stage at Georgetown’s Gaston Hall was still covered up--when the pediment where it had appeared was photographed by CNSNews.com. “In coordinating the logistical...

At Georgetown University today, while sitting in the press section at Gaston Hall awaiting the arrival of President Obama for a "major address" on economics, I overheard a reporter discussing the advance text of the speech. The reporter said that senior presidential adviser David Axelrod had compared Obama during his European trip to one planting seeds for a harvest. Along the same lines, he noted, in today's speech, Obama was set to use another Gospel analogy: that of the "house built upon a rock." And so it came to pass, beneath Gaston Hall's beautiful painting of Morality, Faith, and Patriotism,...

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009 at 10:32 am Taking on Education In the opening of his speech today at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the President met critics head on who complain of too much change, too fast:Every so often, throughout our history, a generation of Americans bears the responsibility of seeing this country through difficult times and protecting the dream of its founding for posterity. This is a responsibility that has fallen to our generation. Meeting it will require steering our nation’s economy through a crisis unlike any we have seen in our time. In the short-term, that means jumpstarting job creation, re-starting lending,...
