In a surprise move late Friday, a key Democrat on the Federal Election Commission called for burdensome new rules on internet-based campaigning, prompting the Republican chairman to warn that the left wants to regulate conservative political sites and even news outlets like the Drudge Report. Democratic FEC Vice Chair Ann M. Ravel announced plans to begin the process to win regulations on internet-based campaigns and videos, currently free from most of the FEC’s rules. “A reexamination of the commission’s approach to the internet and other emerging technologies is long over due,” she said. The powerplay followed a deadlocked 3-3 vote...

The New Haven SWAT team must have been pretty amped up: It was midnight, and they were getting ready to bust down the door of a man wanted on charges involving weapons violations, robbery — and murder. They were not sure how many people were in the house, or how they’d react. After a volley of flash grenades that set fire to the carpet and a sofa, they moved in, guns drawn. A minute later, they had their man zip-tied on the floor. If only they’d double-checked the address first. Bobby Griffin Jr. was wanted on murder charges. His next-door...

CNN reporter Sarah Sidener’s on air stand up in Ferguson, Missouri was disrupted on Monday night when supporters of Michael Brown surrounded Sidener and her cameraman and demanded that they leave the area. The video at Ferguson, shot by Bassem Masri a local activist, includes Masri and others accusing CNN of lying about the Michael Brown case and supporting “Zionists.”

The Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution is crystal clear in meaning. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. FBI Director, James Comey, an Obama appointment, does not give a damn what the Constitution says. In a recent speech, Comey warns If Apple and Google Won't Decrypt Phones, We'll Force Them To Everyone...

90 Percent of Checkout Food Options Unhealthy; 60 Percent of Drink Options Sugar-Sweetened A study of checkout aisles at a wide variety of supermarket and non-food retailers found that 90 percent of food options for sale were for candy, energy bars, chips, cookies, and other junk foods, and 60 percent of the beverage options were for soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages. Researchers at the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public characterized only eight percent of food items as "healthier," and just two percent of foods as actually "healthy," such as nuts and fruit. Their assessment of drinks for sale...

On Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that Amber Vinson, the second Dallas health care worker with Ebola, had flown from Cleveland to Dallas on the day before she reported symptoms. Vinson apparently showed no symptoms while on the return flight to Dallas, meaning fellow passengers are at extremely low risk. Still, CDC Director Tom Frieden said in a press conference, "she should not have been on that plane." It's unclear if the CDC or officials ever instructed the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital workers caring for Thomas Duncan to avoid crowded areas and not to fly. Vinson,...

Houston Mayor Annise Parker has backed down from the subpoenas the City of Houston issued to several area pastors, Breitbart Texas has learned. Breitbart Texas reported earlier about the controversy, stemming from litigation challenging the city's anti-discrimination ordinance and subpoenas asking the pastors for the content of their sermons, speeches and communications with church members. Texas Senator Ted Cruz weighed in, firmly supporting the pastors in their efforts to fight the subpoenas, while Mayor Parker initially remained adamant that the city had the right to request those records. Despite posting comments on Twitter just hours before that seemed to indicate...

The Green movement was the last segment of German Society to admit its complicity with National Socialism and the horrors of the holocaust. While countless historical books have decried the industrial nature of the holocaust, such works fail to explain the motive behind the greatest crime of the 20th century. The Nazi economy and its industry were merely the means by which the holocaust was implemented and paid for. “Nazi Oaks” describes the anti-Semitic historical background of the early German green movement in the 1800’s that was later absorbed by National Socialism under the biological umbrella of ‘scientific’ Social Darwinism....

Gwyneth Paltrow has won numerous awards for her acting, but speaking apparently came with some difficulty Thursday with President Barack Obama standing beside her. "You're so handsome that I can't speak properly," the actress, singer and food writer gushed after introducing Obama to several hundred supporters seated on white fold-out chairs in the lush backyard of her home in the movie star haven of Brentwood, a neighborhood in Los Angeles....

An administrative law judge has ruled that a Kentucky printer’s refusal to print gay pride t-shirts “constitutes unlawful discrimination,” and, by extension, that printers cannot refuse to print materials promoting ideas they disagree with. Hands On Originals is a business that prints custom designs on clothes, accessories and other items like mugs and bottles. According to the ruling, Blaine Adamson, its managing owner, “instructed his sales representatives to decline to design, print, or produce orders whenever the requested material was perceived to promote an event or organization that conveys messages that are considered by the sales representative or Mr. Adamson...

According to Pat Sajak you can always tell which side has been rallying based on how much trash has been left behind. Tea Party groups are known for leaving their rally grounds spotless. Leftist groups are known for leaving behind heaps of trash. Sunday’s climate change rally in New York ahead of a major UN conference on the subject was no different. Climate change extremists spent the afternoon trying scare people into believing the sky is falling, meanwhile they simply tossed all their trash in the street for someone else to pick up. The rally brought out all sorts of...

Conservatives rightly rail against “welfare” programs such as food stamps. This is especially true when these programs are abused, but it is true in general as well. The government simply should not be in the business of redistributing wealth, and certainly not of giving direct handouts, especially to people who are perfectly capable of working. But did you know that business corporations receive far more in direct handouts than do these maligned individuals—often backed by conservatives and conservative politicians? And the numbers will startle you. According to a report by watchdog organization “Open the Books,” Fortune 100 companies received direct...

I know, I know, I’m the guy that just keeps pointing out obvious truths but never offers any real solutions. Bear with me anyway. My freshman year, I took a classical fencing class through Cornell P.E. with Maître d’Armes Adam Crown. He said some very interesting things to us before he left. For example: 1.When it is not time to act, it is time not to act. 2.If you can call Obama a black president, you can also call him a white president. 3.America is exhibiting signs of becoming a fascist country. 4.In vino veritas (translation: “In wine there is...

"Employee's Demotion for Comparing Media and Political Reaction to Trayvon Martin's Death to Lack of Response Over Shooting of a White Baby Upheld. Decision Highlights Troubling Aspects of Potential Government Overreach in "Hostile Work Environment" Law” Washington DC - In response to a recently-announced North Carolina administrative decision upholding an employee's demotion for comments about race, and in light of the calls for increased racial dialogue following Michael Brown's death in Ferguson, Missouri, the National Center's in-house legal scholar is warning American workers that local and federal government leaders may soon restrict racial and political speech even in private work...

The economic heart of fascism in the 1930's was the "government-private industry alliance." It still is. In this alliance, the state provides limited funds and promotion of favored businesses. The businesses provide profits that are taxed. The state's bureaucrats increase their influence over the economy by way of favored business enterprises. The state is now heralding faith-based welfare. State money is used to favor some ministries, which conform to state requirements. In this way, the churches get "matching funds" from the state, and the state gets another avenue into the lives of the public. There will be more welfare clients,...

About how America became involved in certain wars, many conspiracy theories have been advanced -- and some have been proved correct. When James K. Polk got his declaration of war as Mexico had "shed American blood upon the American soil," Rep. Abraham Lincoln demanded to know the exact spot where it had happened. And did the Spanish really blow up the battleship Maine in Havana Harbor, the casus belli for the Spanish-American War? The Gulf of Tonkin Incident, involving U.S. destroyers Maddox and C. Turner Joy, remains in dispute. But charges that North Vietnamese patrol boats had attacked U.S. warships...

The toxic thinking and horrible consequences of Leftist ideology put into practice and, as explained in the video below this piece, Why the Left Hates America by Daniel J Flynn The foundational epistemological position of all ‪#‎Leftist‬ thought is Marxist dialectical materialism. Most of them may not have studied ‪#‎Marx‬, but that is the basis of everything they stand for. It is a form of secular monist philosophy, maintaining that a Heglian World Spirit is guiding history along in an upward progression [hence they call themselves “‪#‎progressives‬.”] Under that paradigm, an existing order continues until its “internal contradictions” come to...

Well, this sounds interesting and probably sinister and open to manipulation: The federal government is spending nearly $1 million to create an online database that will track “misinformation” and hate speech on Twitter. The National Science Foundation is financing the creation of a web service that will monitor “suspicious memes” and what it considers “false and misleading ideas,” with a major focus on political activity online. The “Truthy” database, created by researchers at Indiana University, is designed to “detect political smears, astroturfing, misinformation, and other social pollution.” The university has received $919,917 so far for the project. “The project stands...

Files scheduled to be released from Clinton White House records will show his efforts to shackle militias and set up a "strict licensing system" for paramilitary groups, Politico reports. In other words, gun control was to be complemented--and in places, supplemented--by people control. According to Politico, the release is certain to raise the ire of citizens already concerned about "enhancing government surveillance powers and regulating armed groups of U.S. citizens." Upon release, the files are expected to show that Clinton's plans ran into trouble when his own attorneys "feared that some of the proposals could violate the Constitution." The files...

How’s this for a depressing passage: “There’s just a lot more regulation going on,” Zelizer said. “There’s a lot of intersection between the economy and Washington.” “There’s just a lot more regulation going on.” My liberal friends, “regulation” is the mother’s milk of the crony capitalist state, the “fascist light” state. Our system of “regulation” is in most regards now just a vehicle for rent seeking. Blindly defending regulations in 2014 because liberals are supposed to be for regulation, is to give power to a vested corporate oligarchy. Am I saying that all regs are bad? No. Am I saying...
