Jeb Bush has decided to deploy a not-so-secret weapon as he struggles to create momentum in the Republican presidential race: his mother and former first lady Barbara Bush. After a poor fifth-place finish in the Iowa caucuses this week, Jeb is hoping for a breakthrough in the New Hampshire primary Tuesday. And he thinks his mom, still popular around the country, can help him. So Bush is scheduled to hold a town-hall meeting with his mother in Derry, New Hampshire, Thursday night.

Many Republicans and supporters of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are getting nervous as the New Hampshire primary approaches on Feb. 9. It comes down to this, they say, he must do better than Sen. Marco Rubio, his former mentee and fellow Floridian, in the next major presidential contest, or just pack up and drop out of the race, according to The New York Times.

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush brought in just $7.12 million for his presidential bid in the last three months of 2015, a little more than half of what his campaign collected the previous quarter. His total for the quarter represents a sharp drop-off from earlier in the year: In his first quarter as a candidate, Bush raised $11.42 million. In his second, he pulled in $13.34 million. Right to Rise raised $85 million less in second half of 2015. The super PAC dedicated to former Florida Gov. Now down to 2% in the latest Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics Iowa Poll, Mr. Bush spent a Saturday afternoon campaign stop lamenting his inability to convince voters of his political arguments.

The personalized letters target individual Iowa voters and identifies them as having failed to vote in prior elections. They are admonished and then encouraged to vote this year. In addition the letters identify the neighbors of the voter, and provides their voting history.
