“It’s about time,” he tweeted of Pruitt’s departure. “He will go down in the history books as the worst EPA administrator we’ve ever had.” “This is a fantastic day that he’s gone, but of course it doesn’t mean that the problem is gone,’’ said Schwarzenegger, who months ago called for Pruitt’s resignation from the Environmental Protection Agency. In an interview with POLITICO Thursday, Schwarzenegger warned that Andrew Wheeler, who will replace Pruitt as acting director, is “the wrong guy” to protect Americans’ health and environment. “If you want to really do a good job with the environment, you don’t have...

Xanax for patient Karem—stat! Make it a double. . . Brian Karem, then a Playboy reporter, made his liberal-media bones by haranguing Sarah Huckabee Sanders in the White House press room last year. CNN rewarded Karem for his outburst my naming him an “analyst.” This morning, Karem put on the kind of performance that CNN is paying him for, waxing apocalyptic about the future of the environment and the EPA under Scott Pruitt and his successor, Andrew Wheeler. Excerpts from Karem’s wery, wery scared statement: “[Pruitt] destroyed the EPA . . . People I’ve known in the EPA for 20...

Green groups cheered the resignation Thursday of Scott Pruitt, saying the Environmental Protection Agency administrator’s multiple ethical lapses and pro-polluter tilt made him unsuitable for the nation’s highest environmental post. But the activists doubted that the departure, announced by President Trump via Twitter, would change the administration's policies. The EPA will now be led by an interim chief, Andrew Wheeler, who was a coal industry lobbyist before he was confirmed as Pruitt's deputy in April. Pruitt’s tenure was marked by more than a dozen investigations into alleged conflicts of interest and controversial spending of taxpayer funds — ranging from his...

The 4th of July came and went, with the usual drama from the unhinged left, i.e. a white 16 year old scrawny teenager was assaulted in a burger-joint by a burly black dude just for wearing a MAGA hat; the attacker was later identified as 30-year old Kino Jimenez and promptly fired by his employer; also yesterday, a black immigrant woman from Congo scaled the Statue of Liberty, protesting the Time Magazine Baby or who the Hell knows what, and ruined the 4th of July holiday for 4500 tourists visiting the Statue of Liberty. Both were very strange and inappropriate...

cott Pruitt's polarizing tenure as head of the Environmental Protection Agency has come to an end. President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday that he has accepted Pruitt's resignation. The departure follows months of scrutiny that gathered momentum following reports that Pruitt had rented a Capitol Hill condominium linked to an energy lobbyist on favorable terms. The revelation exacerbated concerns about the high cost of Pruitt's travel and security detail and triggered a flood of allegations that Pruitt fostered a culture of workplace retaliation, wasteful spending and self-dealing at EPA.

It looks like Washington D.C. residents are taking Rep. Maxine Water’s advice and confronting members of the Trump administration as they go about their lives in public places. The latest incident occurred Monday in a D.C. restaurant and the target was the EPA’s Scott Pruitt. Bonus points for having a 2-year-old toddler in tow as she confronted him.Kristin Mink, a teacher, was having lunch with her toddler when she noticed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chief Scott Pruitt three tables over. Taking a page out of the social justice warrior’s playbook, she “had to say somethingâ€, so she did. To...

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to take steps to curb ozone pollution that blows into New York and Connecticut from five other states. The decision by U.S. District Judge John Koeltl in Manhattan is a victory for New York’s and Connecticut’s attorneys general, Barbara Underwood and George Jepsen. Their offices sued EPA administrator Scott Pruitt in January, accusing him of ignoring his responsibilities under the federal Clean Air Act to reduce pollution.

A federal judge granted a preliminary injunction to 11 more states against former President Barack Obama’s Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) rule Friday, Politico reported. A federal judge in North Dakota exempted 13 other states from the rule in 2015 after the rule was finalized. Friday’s wave of injunctions, issued by U.S. District Court Judge Lisa Godbey Wood of Georgia’s Southern District, symbolizes the growing opposition to the rule. “The WOTUS rules are a blatant power grab by the EPA,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican, said in a June 2017 statement. “The federal government exceeded its statutory authority...

Saying the air traffic controller work force was “too white,” the Obama Federal Aviation Administration allegedly replaced hiring standards based on science, math and ability to handle intense pressure with rules designed to increase racial diversity. It’s hard to find a more flagrant example of bureaucrats putting people’s safety and lives so low on their list of priorities. Difficult but not impossible. Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ) standards also play with people’s lives. Enacted in the 1970s amid fears of imminent oil depletion, the rules require that cars and light trucks on average across each manufacturer’s entire smorgasbord of vehicles...

If Scott Pruitt is scaring deep state environmentalist wackos at the EPA, he must be doing something right . . . Remember Brian Karem, the reporter who harangued Sarah Huckabee Sanders last year over her criticism of CNN? What better way to win CNN’s heart, and sure enough, there was Karem on “New Day” this morning. Karem waxed apoplectic over Scott Pruitt and what he described as the Trump administration’s agenda “to tear down protections, it’s to destroy regulations, it’s to tear down the federal government.” Added Karem: “There are people in the EPA I’ve known for years who are...

In another jab to President Trump's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) head, actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) labeled Scott Pruitt the worst EPA administrator of all time. "I pay no attention to what he says. He cannot be taken seriously," Schwarzenegger said at the R20 Austrian World Summit, an annual climate conference he hosts in his home country. "He's the worst Environmental secretary that we have ever had." Schwarzenegger went on to criticize Pruitt for his ties to oil and gas companies. “He's doing the bidding for the oil companies and the coal companies," the 70-year-old Republican told...

Netflix host “Science Guy” Bill Nye has a new solution for the world’s environmental problems: taxing cow farts. “Well, this is what we can do and it’s a win-win: to have a fee on carbon. So if you are raising livestock and producing a lot of carbon dioxide with your farm equipment and the exhaust from the animals, then you would pay a fee on that and it would be reflected in the price of meat, reflected in the price of fish, reflected in the price of peanuts,” Bill Nye said in a recent interview with the Daily Beast. “This...

The Environmental Protection Agency is barring The Associated Press, CNN and the environmental-focused news organization E&E from a national summit on harmful water contaminants. The EPA blocked the news organizations from attending Tuesday’s Washington meeting, convened by EPA chief Scott Pruitt.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt has been hounded lately by allegations of rich spending and poor judgment. While he could have detonated himself during recent congressional-oversight hearings, the former Oklahoma prosecutor seems to have survived those tests. Nonetheless, EPA’s inspector general, the Government Accountability Office, and various congressional panels continue to probe Pruitt’s official conduct. While Pruitt has plenty for which to answer, on at least three key counts, he seems to be cleaner than his critics claim. Pruitt’s foes have attacked him for allocating too much on bodyguards. Senator Tom Udall (D - New Mexico) slammed Pruitt for “taking 30...

Some people still can't stomach the idea of a Donald Trump presidency and so remain in denial about his mounting policy successes, but their resistance is looking increasingly proud and petty. It's risky to predict future trends, especially the political fortunes of government leaders and the results they might achieve, because there are so many moving parts. We've seen so much volatility and fluidity, and we have a plethora of unknowns. So I admit that it would be foolish to take for granted that President Trump will continue to rack up remarkable, substantive policy achievements, but it would be...

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans on repealing an Obama-era requirement effectively mandating all new coal-fired power plants be outfitted with unproven emissions technology, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned. EPA will modify the New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) for power plants as part of its effort to repeal the Clean Power Plan (CPP) — the centerpiece of the Obama administration’s climate agenda. EPA will drop the de facto requirement that new coal plants install carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology Obama administration critics said would make it nearly impossible to build new coal plants. “It’s fantastic that the...
