What are the penalties for voter fraud? What should they be? My search of the internet came up with a confusing conglomeration that was hard to sort out and follow. States vary with laws and enforcement, and I think there is another designation specific for federal elections. Do any Freepers have a clear understanding of this? Seems there aren't that many convictions for voter fraud, and penalties for those few convictions are light. This is a big issue. There should be a severe enough penalty that would make people think twice before committing this crime. If Congress could get serious...

There are two schools of thought for voters driving this election; voters who believe America is good and voters who believe America is bad.

Kirstie Alley has doubled down on her support for President Donald Trump, accusing his rival Joe Biden of making 'pretty constant' racial slurs. In an interview Monday night with Fox News' Sean Hannity, the 69 yr. old actress laughed off the criticism since her Saturday night tweet declaring she was voting for Trump. She also slammed Democratic nominee Joe Biden, and suggested he might be racist. 'When your gaffes are constantly - when he said, you know, 'you ain't black if you're not voting for me,' and you know these constant gaffes that have these actual racist overtones,' Alley said....

Rapper 50 Cent has endorsed Donald Trump for president because of his favorable tax policies for the rich - and said he doesn't care if the Republican 'doesn’t like black people'. The 45 yr. old tweeted a shot of the tax rates proposed by Democratic candidate Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris. Biden's proposals could see those earning more than $400K a year hit with rates of 62.6 % for California residents, and 62 % for people who live in NYC. The rapper wrote: 'WHAT THE F***! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT. F*** NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway.'...

Gaggle is currently used in hundreds of districts across the U.S., relying on artificial intelligence and a team of moderators paid as little as $10 an hour to scan billions of student emails, chat messages and files each year in search of references to sex, drugs and violence.

DURHAM, N.C. — More than half of the nearly 1.4 million absentee ballots requested in North Carolina remain outstanding with 15 days left until Election Day. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by county election officials by Nov. 6 to count. So, with time running short to get those ballots in, WRAL Investigates again put the U.S. Postal Service to the test to see how long it takes "ballots" mailed from different parts of Durham and Cumberland counties to get to a central location in each county.

https://www.wnd.com/2020/10/gallup-gop-overtakes-dems-party-affiliation/ From Robert Barnes: Gallup's question about self identifying political affiliation is an interesting historical indicator of election outcome that has been consistently accurate. The gap between D and R widens leading up to an election where the democrat wins and narrows going into an election when the republican wins. He believes that it is actually an enthusiasm indicator. It has recently undergone a major shift resulting in the closest gap since 2004. Strong sign it is going to be a Republican election.

A record-breaking surge of mail-voting Democrats in Florida has handed Joe Biden a massive lead over President Donald Trump in his must-win home state. But here come the Republicans. The start of in-person voting Monday is expected to trigger a conservative wave that will build over the next two weeks and crest on Election Day. Around two-thirds of participating Florida GOP voters are likely to cast a ballot in person this fall, raising the question of whether Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee, will be able to hold off a Trump comeback by the time the polls close at 7 p.m....

Here is more 'anecdotal evidence' of the support out there for President Trump and VP Pence. Members of the Republican Party of Iowa County gathered yesterday (Sunday, October 18, 2020) for a 'Sign Rally' on the Main Drag in little Dodgeville, WI, Population 4,727. This is the largest town near mine, Population 283. FWIW, there has been NO rally like this for Biden and there was NO rally like this for Trump/Pence last time around, or for ANY Dem candidate. I thought these pictures would cheer everyone up. :) Support is strong in Flyover Country!

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Democrats have kept Nevada in their column in every presidential election since 2004. In the 2018 midterm election, Democrats delivered a “blue wave,” flipping a U.S. Senate seat and bolstering their dominance of the congressional delegation and Legislature. But this year, political strategists and organizers warn Nevada is still a swing state. And it could swing. “I don’t know where this state goes,” said Annette Magnus-Marquart, executive director of the Nevada progressive group Battle Born Progress. “Nevada is still a purple state. Nevada is still a battleground. No matter what your party is, you have to...

The third presidential debate – set to take place on Thursday – was originally supposed to center on foreign policy. But following the release of the Hunter Biden e-mails/laptop details in the New York Post, the wildly partisan Presidential Debates Commission announced that would no longer be the case, the effect being the protection of Joe and Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden profited from his father’s political connections long before he struck questionable deals in countries where Joe Biden was undertaking diplomatic missions as vice president. In fact, virtually all the jobs listed on his resume going back to his first position out of college, which paid a six-figure salary, came courtesy of the former six-term senator’s donors, lobbyists and allies, a RealClearInvestigations examination has found. One document reviewed by RCI reveals that a Biden associate admitted “finding employment” for Hunter Biden specifically as a special favor to his father, then a Senate leader running for president. He secured a...

The polls are once again delivering feel-good boosts to Democrats: Joe Biden beats President Trump by 10, 11 or 12 points nationally, depending on the day. His edge in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin averages eight. Propeller-heads promise better than 4 in 5 odds of a new president next year. But then the partisans remember they have been here before, four years ago this week. The conflicting emotions can be overwhelming. “I am feeling anxious and trapped between a sense of unbridled optimism and sheer dread,” said Abington Township, Pa., Commissioner Bill Bole, who like many Democrats never thought Trump could...

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn acknowledged Friday that at times he has disagreed with President Trump on issues such as budget deficits and debt, tariffs and trade agreements and border security. But, the senior Republican senator from Texas, who is being challenged by Democrat MJ Hegar, said he chose to work on those disagreements with the president’s staff in private discussions, rather than by publicly voicing his opposition.
