ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin said Monday on ABC’s “The View” that eclipses, earthquakes and cicadas could “lead one to believe” that “climate change exists.” Partial transcript as follows: HOSTIN: I know, right? I have to say, one of our wonderful makeup artists…when the earthquake was happening, she put her coat on and she was, like, Jesus is coming. I’m out. I’m leaving. We got a solar eclipse. We’ve got an earthquake. She ran down the hallway. GRIFFIN: The Rapture is here! HOSTIN: The Rapture is here. Also, I learned that the cica-ah-das are coming.

In September 2021, many people went into a frenzy when the United States Postal Service announced that their mail delivery service would become permanently slower. This new phenomenon is called Pre-Parcel Anxiety. “We live in a society where we build expectations and uphold perfectionism. We want things here and now. We want efficiency and struggle with patience,” psychotherapist Owen O’Kane explains. Today, we’re seeing what I’m calling Pre-Trib Anxiety. The world is in such a mess that anticipation of the always-imminent rapture is making people anxious. Where is it? It should have been here by now. Why is there a...

Pastor Mark Biltz, the man who discovered that such events historically have been accompanied by significant developments for the nation of Israel, is keeping an eye on the next lunar eclipse, Jan. 30. It’s called a “super blood wolf moon eclipse” because it will be a total lunar eclipse for parts of North America at a time when the full moon is at the closet point of its orbit to the Earth. It’s also the first of its type in 2019. It will occur at about 12:12 a.m. until 12:44 a.m. “The Super Blood Moon this year is also known...

Mayan astronomers didn’t say straight out that they had chronicled a synchronicity between eclipses and earthquakes — but Aristotle in his "Meteorology" (350 BC) does, giving his opinion that they are part and parcel of the same subject. The classical historians Thucydides and Phlegon both give accounts of a number of eclipses-cum-earthquakes that destroyed great parts of the Peloponnesus, Bithynia and Nicaea. ... The Babylonians also considered them mutually inclusive, so did the ancient Japanese, and so did Arabic scholars of the Islamic Golden Age such as Ibn al-Batriq and Hunayn ibn Ishaq. ... Conjoined lunar and solar gravitational tides...

As you may know, this year is a Sabbatical Year in the Jewish Calendar. Starting next September 29, 2008, a new Sabbatical cycle will commence. It will run for seven years and conclude with another Sabbatical Year in 2014/15. Also, you may know that Daniel’s seventieth week will be a seven year Sabbatical cycle. Students of biblical prophecy have long compared Daniel’s seventieth week with the Tribulation Period as laid out in the book of Revelation. Intrigued with the Scriptures that repeat over and over again that our Savior’s Second Coming will be heralded with signs in the heavens, in...

It’s almost upon us. The final eclipse of 2013 occurs this coming weekend on Sunday, November 3rd. This will be the fifth eclipse overall, and the second solar eclipse of 2013. This will also be the only eclipse this year that features a glimpse of totality. This eclipse is of the rare hybrid variety— that is, it will be an annular eclipse along the very first 15 seconds of its track before transitioning to a total as the Moon’s shadow sweeps just close enough to the Earth to cover the disk of the Sun along the remainder of its track....

Ecliptophiles, get out your binoculars. The moon could be turning red again. Or maybe orange. Or maybe a dull brown. The color is unpredictable because it depends on the amount of dust and clouds in the Earth’s atmosphere, which filters and refracts the indirect light from the sun that manages to reach the moon even during a total eclipse. But whatever the color, this is a show worth watching when the moon rises Saturday evening in the eastern sky and is eclipsed by the Earth’s shadow. You just have to be in the right spot. In America, that means being...

SACRAMENTO (AP) - California prisons paid local hospitals as much as eight times more than Medicare would have paid for the same medical procedure, auditors said Tuesday, leading to an average 21 percent annual increase in health care costs the last five years. That's nearly three times higher than the national inflation rate for hospital services during the same period, despite no significant increase in the inmate population. The report is the latest broadside at a prison system where spending and management has been out control, according to previous audits, state lawmakers and the Schwarzenegger administration, and independent spending analyses...
