Calling something energy catalysis (E-Cat), low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR), or condensed matter nuclear science (CMNS) cannot hide the fact that the idea is simply the same cold fusion announced to the press in March 1989. As cold fusion was notoriously debunked by the scientific community in the 1990s (Close 1991; Huizenga 1994; Taubes 1993; see also David W. Ball’s article in this issue), new names such as these popped up to conceal the true identity of the idea.

Tomorrow the Electoral College meets and this stolen election will officially be handed over to the democrats with the SCOTUS giving the nod to fraud. They hid behind "standing", which is exactly what they did with Berg vs. Obama. In my view, SCOTUS turned us into an oligarchy with that decision in 2008.

A prominent North Carolina investor is backing a new kind of fusion that operates at much lower temperatures than thought possible, which would make it easier to commercialize. So far the early results show promise. Tom Darden, the founder and CEO of the $2.2 billion private equity fund Cherokee Investment Partners, made his mark by acquiring and cleaning up hundreds of environmentally contaminated sites. Today he is also an early stage investor in clean technology, having put his own money into dozens of companies in areas ranging from smart grid to renewable energy, and prefab green buildings. More recently he’s...

Today Andrea Rossi was granted a patent on his LENR based heating device the E-Cat. I have not yet had time to study the patent further, but I just wanted to make it available here on the blog as soon as possible. Note that LENR is not mentioned explicitly, but also note that the contents of the fuel mix are specified — lithium and lithium aluminium hydride as fuel and “a group 10 element, such as nickel in powdered form” as the catalyst. This is important since fuel and catalyst specifications have been lacking from earlier patent applications by Rossi...

What an honor it is to be here today to address those of you who have done so much to change the way we address our energy needs and our environmental needs, to change science. I’m the founder of Cherokee, and I’ve been asked to tell you we are the body that created Industrial Heat as a funding source for LENR inventors. Unike many of you, I’m not a scientist, I’m an entrepreneur. We share the common bond of innovation . . . Entrepreneurship sees the major task in society as doing something different, rather than doing something better than...

2) You followed the recent developments in the LENR sector. Do you think that we’re on the edge of an energy revolution? “Not yet on the edge, but something is going to happen in a few years. Because too many signs are starting to find their way to emerge from the realm of the so called ‘junk science’ and acquire a new dignity among mainstream researchers. Just for instance: Brian Ahern is obtaining results with his LENR experiments at MIT, the same Institute that dismissed as ‘heretical’ F&P results 25 years ago… But one thing is sure: if an energy...

ABSTRACT New results are presented from an extended experimental investigation of anomalous heat production in a special type of reactor tube operating at high temperatures. The reactor, named E-Cat, is charged with a small amount of hydrogen-loaded nickel powder plus some additives, mainly Lithium. The reaction is primarily initiated by heat from resistor coils around the reactor tube. Measurements of the radiated power from the reactor were performed with high-resolution thermal imaging cameras. The measurements of electrical power input were performed with a large bandwidth three-phase power analyzer. Data were collected during 32 days of running in March 2014. The...

Start-up purchases controversial cold fusion nuclear reactor E-cat - Let's see if it works 01/26/2014 A North Carolina based company called Industrial Heat LLC has come out and admitted that it now owns Andrea Rossi’s ecat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology. Industrial Heat has put out a press release in which it confirmed rumors that it had spent $11 million to purchase Rossi’s device. The press release also confirmed speculation that Tom Darden of Cherokee Investment Partners a North Carolina equity fund is a principal investor in Industrial heat. It stated that one of Darden’s associates J.T. Vaughn is...

Some great sleuthing by E-Cat World reader ‘Mr. Moho’ has turned up more information about the Cherokee Investment Partnership involvement with the E-Cat. An article on a Chinese site called Icebank.cn, (apparently a refrigeration company) provides more information about Cherokee Investment Partners CEO Thomas Darden’s recent visit to China in connection with his involvement with the newly formed company Industrial Heat LLC. It must be noted that the information gleaned has come from a Google translation of the article, and so some of the quotes and details may be a little confusing, but I think the general gist of the...

Full title: Tests find Rossi's E-Cat has an energy density at least 10 times higher than any conventional energy source (Phys.org) —In the ongoing saga of Andrea Rossi's energy catalyzer (E-Cat) that promises clean, cheap power for the world, the latest events continue to bring as many questions as answers. Several scientists have performed supposedly independent tests of two E-Cat prototypes under controlled conditions and using high-precision instrumentation. In a paper posted at arXiv.org, the researchers write that, even by the most conservative of measurements, the E-Cat produces excess heat with a resulting energy density that is at least 1...

Abstract-Third Party Report An experimental investigation of possible anomalous heat production in a special type of reactor tube named E-Cat HT is carried out. The reactor tube is charged with a small amount of hydrogen loaded nickel powder plus some additives. The reaction is primarily initiated by heat from resistor coils inside the reactor tube. Measurement of the produced heat was performed with high-resolution thermal imaging cameras, recording data every second from the hot reactor tube. The measurements of electrical power input were performed with a large bandwidth three-phase power analyzer. Data were collected in two experimental runs lasting 96...

http://arxiv.org/pdf/1202.4827v1.pdf *Two coupled Jaynes-Cummings cells* We develop a theoretical framework to evaluate the energy spectrum, stationary states, and dielectric susceptibility of two Jaynes-Cummings systems coupled together by the overlap of their respective longitudinal field modes, and *we solve and characterize the combined system for the case that the two atoms and two cavities share a single quantum of energy. * INTRODUCTION The Jaynes-Cummings (JC) system1, 2 comprises a two-level atom (2LA) coupled to a single optical resonator mode. Although Jaynes and Cummings emphasized the robustness of the semiclassical description as compared to the fully quantum model, manifestations of quantum...

Has the E-Cat been proven to work? 5.23.2013 | by Mike Weaver In the world of LENR or cold fusion, one cannot help but come across Andrea RossiÂ’s E-Cat device. Rossi claims to harness LENR or cold fusion via a nickel-hydrogen process to produce excess thermal energy in his energy catalyzer. On May 20th, a report on independent testing of the E-Cat HT device was released. LetÂ’s take a look!(updated 5-23-13 14:39EST) First off, the reading list: â– The Report â– An article at ExtremeTech about the report â– An article at eCat News on the report The report is billed as independent...

Pre-loaded hydrogen fuel an engineering answer for efficiency, ease and safety PreviousNext . Pre-loaded hydrogen fuel an engineering answer for efficiency, ease and safety [Translate] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Multiple independent labs are racing to produce a commercial product based on the Fleischmann-Pons Heat Effect (FPHE), most working quietly in their labs. But since the public demonstration of Andrea Rossi‘s E-Cat in January 2011, we’ve witnessed on the global theater the grueling process of actualizing a revolutionary technology. Early prototype E-Cat had external hydrogen tank for fuel. It has been amazing to watch. A thermal generator based on nickel-hydrogen exothermic reactions, E-Cat design...

Ecat Test Generates a lot of Attention Published May 30, 2013. | By jennifer. Andrea Rossi’s posting of the results from the independent test of his ecat Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR) device at a forum for scientific papers has attracted a lot of attention. The attention has ranged from the curious to the favorable to the hostile. The Botanical Garden at Uppsala University Over at Forbes.com Mark Gibbs who has been very critical of Rossi in the past did a pretty good job of showing that the authors of the paper are real scientists. He also identified three of...

Science and the Media Forbes.com renews attention to widely disparaged “low-energy nuclear reactions” The century-old business magazine applauds an arXiv paper claiming an "independent" LENR test. May 28, 2013 Published: May 28, 2013 By Steven T. Corneliussen "Forbes magazine," declared New York Times media reporter David Carr in 2009, "has long been a synonym for riches, success and a belief that business, left to its own devices, will create a better world." Amid widespread disbelief, Forbes.com is expressing enthusiastic faith in the world-transforming potential of one such device: the "energy catalyzer," or E-Cat, purported to exploit "low-energy nuclear reactions," or...

Indicating a shift in the commercial direction of the E-Cat, Andrea Rossi today said that he is no longer in control of the business side of his invention. Last year Rossi announced that he had entered into a partnership with an undisclosed American company and comments since then have indicated that he has sold both the IP to the company and R & D operations, and that his title is now Chief Scientist. Today on the Journal of Nuclear Physics a reader asked a question regarding his current role: As Chief Scientist, you don’t control anymore the business or you‘ve...

Criticism From Peter Ekström May 28, 2013 Many people are frustrated when critics voice their opinions regarding eCat tests and that frustration is evident in the case of the May 2013 HotCat paper. However, when answering why the paper was published on Arxiv instead of a peer-reviewed journal, Andrea Rossi stated that he saw Arxiv as a first step where the paper would have its initial airing (and so peer reviewed of sorts). Preparing a proper scientific paper will take time and in time, such a step may follow. In other words we – along with Rossi – should welcome...

http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/1563 ... ity-of-gas Cold fusion reactor independently verified, has 10,000 times the energy density of gas By Sebastian Anthony on May 21, 2013 at 12:43 pm 338 Comments Share This article 110 inShare. Against all probability, a device that purports to use cold fusion to generate vast amounts of power has been verified by a panel of independent scientists. The research paper, which hasn’t yet undergone peer review, seems to confirm both the existence of cold fusion, and its potency: The cold fusion device being tested has roughly 10,000 times the energy density and 1,000 times the power density of...
