The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network says Wednesday the 3.9-magnitude and 2.1-magnitude temblors struck shortly after midnight near the volcanic peak. ... Residents reported feeling the largest earthquake as far away as Portland, Oregon -- about 70 miles to the south -- and in a large area of southwest Washington. ... The seismic network outreach director, Bill Steele, says it's fairly typical to see earthquake swarms in this area, though somewhat unusual to have one with a 3.9 magnitude. ... He says even though the quakes have been located near Mount St. Helens, it's not caused...

Roger Bilham, a geophysicist at the University of Colorado, Boulder, informed that, in this year, the planet would face more powerful earthquakes and the magnitude level will be 7.0 or more. It can even reach 9.0. He stated that the number of earthquakes could reach up to 20 in 2018. The published report says, when the planet will enter in to slow rotation period, that will decrease the centrifugal force and tighten the planet’s equator. After that, the tectonic plates will crush with each other. The force that will erupt from this event will start super earthquakes on Earth. The...

According to the U.S. Geological Center, an earthquake happened just off the coast of South Padre Island on Saturday. The USGS says that the earthquake hit 103 kilometers (about 64 miles) east-northeast of South Padre around 6:15 p.m. local time. It was a 3.0-magnitude earthquake, which is relatively small. Local reports say that first-responders are standing by in case they're needed to cover any damage but so far they say that no damage has been reported. Local officials say that they don't expect anything further to come of the earthquake either.

The micro-quake occurred about 1.7 miles northeast of the Punggye-ri nuclear site in the country's northeastern province of North Hamgyong, the Korea Meteorological Administration said on its website. "The quake is a natural one and it is believed to have occurred in the aftermath of the sixth nuclear test", it said. Minor tremors have been detected at the site since the North carried out its sixth and most powerful nuclear test underground in September, damaging geological structures in the area. An official of the Korea Meteorological Administration said: "Kilju is a rocky area where natural earthquakes normally do not occur....

As predicted in the Word, the converging lines of prophetic events are centered on Jerusalem. This cup of trembling is sending shockwaves that are reverberate around the globe, signaling the soon arrival of an event horizon unlike the anything the world has ever seen. When "Muslims" are confirming the right Israel has to its land and standing firm against the claim that it was plundered from the "Palestinians", you know that things have been turned upside down. John explains in this week's message entitled "Many Earthquakes"

A temporary program that allowed nearly 59,000 Haitians to live and work in the United States will end in 2019, the Department of Homeland Security announced Monday. The administration determined conditions have improved significantly nine years after a massive earthquake devastated the Caribbean island."Based on all available information, including recommendations received as part of an inter-agency consultation process, Acting Secretary Duke determined that those extraordinary but temporary conditions caused by the 2010 earthquake no longer exist," a DHS statement said. "Thus, under the applicable statute, the current TPS designation must be terminated."Haitians living the Temporary Protected Status will have until July...

Upsurge in big earthquakes predicted for 2018 as Earth rotation slows Scientists say number of severe quakes is likely to rise strongly next year because of a periodic slowing of the Earth’s rotation Scientists have warned there could be a big increase in numbers of devastating earthquakes around the world next year. They believe variations in the speed of Earth’s rotation could trigger intense seismic activity, particularly in heavily populated tropical regions. Although such fluctuations in rotation are small – changing the length of the day by a millisecond – they could still be implicated in the release of vast...
