by Susan Frommer | Top Right News With the subject of gun control heating up again, as multiple gun-grabbing PACs gear up for the midterm elections, Si Robertson, Duck Dynasty star and brother of patriarch Phil Robertson spoke out against it at a free-wheeling discussion following a Christian concert in Louisiana. After recalling that the Senate voted down last year's attempt to restrict gun rights, Uncle Si, a Vietnam Veteran, said "America doesn't have a gun control problem, it has a sin control problem", among other comments. Willie and Korie Robertson attended the recent State of the Union speech -- and stole the show, with dozens of members of both parties meeting with and talking to the classy and entrepreneurial couple before the main event. But not everyone was happy with the presence decent country folk in their nasty world of politics. During NBC's live State of the Union coverage Tuesday night, chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd sneered at Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson being Republican guests at the event: "...after the shooting with Gabby Giffords and for a couple of State of the Unions in a...

Inspiring a new generation: Sadie Robertson (above)- One of the teen stars of 'Duck Dynasty' says that their show is leading students across the country to pray before meals at school.Sixteen-year-old Sadie Robertson, daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson, told an audience at a fundraiser for Prattville Christian Academy in Montgomery, Alabama, that the focus on their religious beliefs on the show is a light that others are emulating. Sadie noted that she and her family have become aware that there are “Duck Dynasty clubs” springing up at many schools across the nation and one goal of these clubs is to...

The mayor of Houston, Texas, Annise Parker, is once again attacking 'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson by calling him a “wingnut” and “completely irrelevant.” Mayor Parker is one of the few openly gay mayors in the country. Why Mayor Parker thinks anyone cares what her opinion is of the Louisiana TV star is another question, but Mayor Parker made the comments on Lone Star Q, a website that focuses on the gay scene in Texas. I have never watched ‘Duck Dynasty,’ so I don’t think about it much at all. I’ve been a gay community activist since the mid-70s. It...

Hollywood execs and radical activists thought they could silence 'Duck Commander' Phil Robertson's religious beliefs when they suspended him from his A&E show. But all they did was increase the public's knowledge of and respect for Robertson and his remarkable family's values. And now we see those Americans also bought Robertson's book -- in massive numbers.Robertson, who was suspended by A&E for espousing his religious views -- before being rehired following a massive viewer backlash, saw sales of his book "Happy, Happy, Happy" explode after the 'controversy' hit the national news."Happy" was originally released this past May -- and had...

As we reported the other day, CNN and the the Huffington Post have tried to invent a new phony controversy, by taking a humorous relaying of marriage advice to a teenager in 2009 video of Phil Robertson ridiculously out of context. The Robertson Family are no strangers to vicious attacks and smears from the Left, but no family member has yet gone on the record to specifically speak out on behalf of their patriarch. Until now. Phil's oldest son, Pastor Alan Robertson, recently spoke to The Christian Post about his dad, stating he was standing up for Christian values in his comments...

Very entertaining video clip that shows a side of ‘Duck Commander’ Phil Robertson that many don’t know: when he was teammates with future NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw. (I had no idea, not being a DD-watcher until recently) VIDEO LINK

The family-owned business at the center of the hit TV-show "Duck Dynasty" has launched its own line of guns. The gunmaker Mossberg has teamed with Duck Commander, the company owned by "Duck Dynasty's" Robertson clan, to release nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol. Mossberg has begun shipping some of the shotguns to distributors, according to spokeswoman Linda Powell. She declined to name specific retailers that will carry them. Duck Commander was founded 40 years ago by Phil Robertson, the family patriarch who was recently suspended -- and then reinstated -- by A&E after...

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. -- James 4:10A humble man doesn't gloat when he knows he's won. And so it was with Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson and his wife Korie in their New Year's Eve interview last night. As the first members of their clan facing the public since A&E suspended their patriarch Phil Robertson for speaking his religious values in a GQ interview, Will and Korie Robertson definitely took the high road. Rather than taking swipes at A&E for their actions, the Robertson's let their fans do the talking -- which they did in a...

"Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson will ring in 2014 LIVE with Fox News. Robertson and his wife, Korie, will be guests during Tuesday night’s “All-American New Year,” and the two will give their first interview about the controversy that has surrounded their family’s patriarch, Phil Robertson.“Appearing live from Steamboat Springs, Colo., for their first television appearance following A&E's reinstatement of Phil Robertson on ‘Duck Dynasty,’ Willie and Korie will discuss the situation with FNC’s Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. The couple will also reflect on 2013 and discuss the year ahead,” Fox News announced. Phil Robertson was suspended by A&E...

In a nauseating display of mean-spirited ignorance, MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry and her panel of five ridiculed Mitt Romney's black grandchild as something "that's not like the others." The MSNBC segment was a look back at 2013, and for some reason a Romney family photo that shows former Massachusetts governor with a grandchild on each knee was cherry-picked for mockery. The only apparent reason for the ridicule was purely based on the race of Kieran Romney, the governor's adopted grandchild who happens to be black. You can hear panelist Pia Glenn singing the lyrics to the "Sesame Street" song, "One of...

Phil Robertson said he spoke his heart about the Scriptures and homosexuality, out of "love" for the sinner, not hate. But Hollywood liberals are not exactly reciprocating. Doug Ellin, the creator and producer of the hit HBO series Entourage, had some pretty nasty words for the 'Duck Dynasty' patriarch: Not very "tolerant" words coming from the crowd that is always preaching tolerance and "civility" to the rest of us.

The same Disney that suspended 'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson from its A&E network for expressing his religious views about homosexuality (until being forced to reverse it after a massive viewer revolt), clearly has no problem pushing the homosexual agenda in the faces of millions of Americans who watch the annual Tournament of Roses Parade on its ABC network on New Year's Day. That's right. Two Los Angeles men plan to celebrate their "gay marriage" on a float in this year's parade in Pasadena, California. The move has understandably sparked controversy and even a boycott. Danny Leclair, 45, and Aubrey Loots, 42,...

It’s always nice to be validated, so I was pleased to read Roger Kimball’s column yesterday, Benghazi: The New York Times vs. the Truth. (Completely off-topic, butt does anybody know if they ever caught that one-armed man?) He concurs with my theory that Hilz is this season’s rehab project. “How are we to understand the Times’s latest entry into the contest to rewrite history for ideological fun and profit? My own sense is that it has less to do with salvaging President Obama’s tattered reputation — he is well on his way to winning the prize for the least competent and...

An Alabama lawmaker has plans to introduce a resolution in support of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson during the state’s upcoming legislative session Alabama’s The Daily Home reports. Republican State Sen. Jerry Fielding announced this week that in the wake of A&E’s suspension of Robertson from the popular show due to comments he made to GQ, he will be offering a resolution to honor Duck Dynasty after the legislative body reconvenes in January. “Phil Robertson’s family values are shared by the vast majority of Alabamians, who are rightfully concerned by the vitriol aimed at his Christian stance,” Fielding said. “There’s a clear double standard in the...

by John UrbanTop Right News How much longer will the once-legendary NBC News permit the unhinged freak show at MSNBC to continue? Reacting to the news that A&E was reversing its "indefinite suspension" of 'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson, after a massive viewer revolt -- the inmates at the MSNBC asylum are truly losing it. After panelist Gregory Angelon advocated for a dialogue between left and right, saying “we’re getting into a dangerous point in this country right now, where it is almost an us versus them culture,” guest host 'professor' Michael Eric Dyson responded. Conveniently ignoring that there is...

It didn't take long for A&E to cry uncle, and reverse its suspension of 'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson. And their announcement came on Friday night, the traditional time to lessen the public impact -- and before New Year's, perhaps slowest news cycle all year.

In clear violation of op-ed protocol, this week I’m suspending prose and having a little good, clean, limericky fun at liberals’ expense because – well, because they just make it so darn easy. (Warning: Some are bad and others worse. Side effects may include groaning, nausea, vomiting and involuntary eye-rolling.) Here they are in no particular order. Happy New Year, and may God bless you in 2014! (Yes, you too, my liberal friends.)
