For the better part of President TrumpÂ’s first term in office, Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) has been a target of the far-left, because, of course, she does not embrace their radical agenda line-by-line. A noted moderate in the GOP Senate caucus, Sen. Collins votes with both parties, issue by issue. Sen. CollinsÂ’ nuanced approach to governance is unfathomable to the far-left. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) sent a fundraising plea, amidst a global health pandemic, for Sen. CollinsÂ’ opponent, Sara Gideon, featuring far-left author Stephen King: Friend, I'm just so fed up with watching Susan Collins acquiesce to...

DENVER — A decision by national Democrats to throw their support behind John Hickenlooper in Colorado’s U.S. Senate race sparked an intense email discussion among state Democratic Party officers over the weekend, with allusions to Nazism, criticisms of Hickenlooper and calls for formal opposition. The emails offer a window into an intraparty conflict that is sure to spill out in public for weeks and months to come as Democrats debate who should be their nominee to take on Republican Sen. Cory Gardner. Hickenlooper has made it clear that he neither understands nor cares about the true problems in our country,”...

As you know if you've ever watched a TV show about lawyers, you should never ask a question if you don't already know the answer. You shouldn't be arrogant enough to assume you already know it, just because you really want to believe it's true. Don't get cocky. Don't hurt your own case. In other words, don't be the Senate Democrats. They're out of power right now, and until they start winning some elections again, all they can do is complain about being thwarted again and again. Whine, whine, whine: .@realDonaldTrump and the Republican-led Senate have aggressively pushed to reshape...

The Senate Democrats’ campaign arm is pulling the remaining money for TV advertising out of the Florida Senate race with three weeks until Election Day. This week, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) canceled its remaining ad reservations in support of Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Fla.), a DSCC official confirmed. The move was first reported by the Miami Herald. Earlier this year, the DSCC reserved $10 million to help Murphy, who faces an uphill battle against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). The committee has previously shifted money out of the state to invest more heavily in late-breaking Senate races, such as in...

Sen. Bernie Sanders, the independent-turned-Democratic Senator from Vermont, proudly states pervasively that he does not have a super PAC (sorry, Supah PAC), and he's not beholden to Wall Street ties in the same fashion as Hillary Clinton. That's true. There is no Bernie super PAC per se, but he does benefit from the super PACs within his coalition. Moreover, he's benefited from indirect Wall Street contributions and regularly attended retreats hosted by their lobbyists, according to the Wall Street Journal: Yet the Vermont senator has benefited from at least $1.5 million in backing from super PACs and from political groups that...

t’s almost the end of the line for the Mary Express, and she knows it. First, she tripled down on her ‘sexism and racism’ smear against an electorate that has entrusted her (a woman!) with 18 years in the US Senate, and that handed Gov. Bobby Jindal (whose skin is brown!) a re-election victory so comprehensive that he carried every single parish in the state. Then, she offered no comment after top aides and supporters confirmed Republicans’ principal charge against her, and exhorted partisan Democrats to vote illegally. Next, she blundered through her final debate, assailing her Republican opponent for...

With the U.S. Senate now firmly in Republican control, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) has canceled advertising for embattled Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu before her December runoff against Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy. The DSCC's canceled advertising was supposed to run from Monday through December 6 in key markets, including Baton Rouge and New Orleans, reports Politico.

And then there were 54.Bomb the rubble: The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is canceling at least some of its advertising reservations for Sen. Mary Landrieu ahead of the December runoff in Louisiana. The committee canceled buys planned from Monday through December 6 in the Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans markets, three sources tracking the air war told POLITICO…“Mary Landrieu is a proven run-off winner and we support her 100 percent,” said DSCC spokesman Justin Barasky. “We are going to make ongoing determinations on how best to invest in the race. We made the initial reservation when there were concerns...

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is going back on-air for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes in her battle against U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell. Buoyed by recent polling, the DSCC told Politico that they were investing $650,000 in air time after “reviewing recent internal and public polling,” according to Manu Raju. The latest Bluegrass Poll published Monday shows McConnell up one percentage point on Grimes, but the race remains within the margin of error. The decision to go back on air in the state comes after the group went dark in the state after not airtime in the state...

If you caught any of this Sunday morning’s panel segments, you probably saw the left-of-center guest lamenting the scourge of Republican fear-mongering surrounding the spread of the Ebola virus overseas and in the United States. It is a theme echoed on Sunday by President Barack Obama who returned to the campaign trail this weekend after taking a week to directly oversee the government’s response to this crisis of Republican invention. He did not go as far as some on the left who have determined that voicing concern over Ebola’s spread from West Africa to the United States is, like virtually...

Senate Democrats announced Tuesday they won’t spend any more money on television in Kentucky, throwing in the towel on their fight to oust Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell. Most polls have shown the race slipping away from nominee Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) for weeks in a contest long considered a top pickup opportunity for Democrats. But with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s (DSCC) decision, the party is shifting almost solely to defense in hopes of protecting its fragile six-seat majority.

Now that the Obama administration assures us HealthCare.gov is working smoothly, Democrats have no reason to run away from Obamacare, right? After all, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi and DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz both assured us Democrats will be “standing tall” and will be running on the successful, popular issue of Obamacare in 2014. Strangely, it appears the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee didn’t get the memo. There’s no mention of Obamacare on their homepage this morning.

President Barack Obama will star at an “intimate” $32,400 per head June 6 fundraising dinner and discussion in the Portola Valley home of star Silicon Valley venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and his wife, Neeru, according to the invite obtained by the Chronicle. The dinner is one of two events in Peninsula private homes on Obama’s upcoming fundraising swing here, which benefits the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. In addition to the Khosla home dinner, Obama will also attend an earlier reception in the home of Marci and Mike McCue of Palo Alto. McCue co-founded Flipboard, and serves as its CEO. Senator...

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee outraised its GOP counterpart nearly 2-to-1 last month, marking the second month in a row it has brought in significantly more cash than the National Republican Senatorial Committee. According to figures provided by the committees, the DSCC raised $4.3 million in February and had $5.1 million in cash on hand at the end of the month. The NRSC raised $2.2 million and had $3.1 million in the bank on Feb. 28. The NRSC, which paid down $500,000 last month, now has $9.5 million in debt from the 2012 cycle. The DSCC declined to release its...

**SNIP** “While I do support many of the items in this proposal – for example, extending unemployment insurance, the wind production tax credit and tax cuts for most Americans – I believe they should have come in the context of a comprehensive deficit reduction package,” Bennet said. “Without a serious mechanism to reduce the debt, I cannot support this bill.” “Putting the country on a sustainable fiscal path and bringing our debt under control is incredibly important to our economy and our standing in the world and is a top priority for me,” Bennet continued. “I remain committed to continue...

Unbelievable. Republicans just released their draft budget. What’s their solution to the economic crisis? Cut NPR, defund Planned Parenthood, and bust unions. That’s not a jobs plan, that’s a radical agenda. The Democratic Senate will stand strong against these cuts. But if the Tea Party gains only four seats, we lose the majority – and our ability to defend women’s rights, protect workers, and even listen to Morning Edition. With only a few hours until the deadline, we still have $18,000 left to raise. That’s only 301 more people from Florida. If we miss this goal, our budget can’t be...

“GPS receivers were quite purposefully designed to operate in a portion of the radio frequency spectrum deliberately maintained as a “quiet neighborhood,” with neighboring frequencies primarily occupied by signals of comparable power levels, all based on widely accepted understanding of previous FCC rules and intent. The proposed LightSquared transmitters will produce received signal strengths five billion times stronger than the GPS received signal.” "Some have suggested GPS equipment can be redesigned for greater filtering to mitigate the interference, but even if this is possible, we believe it would involve substantial financial cost and likely degrade the accuracy of high performance...

The Debt Panel’s Profligate Pork Patty Murray Problem By Michelle Malkin • August 12, 2011 10:34 AM House minority leader Nancy Pelosi rounds out the Super Debt Panel of Stupid today with her three hack picks. My column today focuses on the panel’s Democratic co-chair, my old Senator from Washington state: Profligate Pork Patty Murray. *** The Debt Panel’s Patty Murray Problem by Michelle Malkin Creators Syndicate Copyright 2011 Everything that’s wrong with the so-called debt “super-committee” can be summed up in the person, partisan hackery and policy ignorance of Washington Democratic Sen. Patty Murray. On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader...

Dear Senator Murray: For many months now, your colleagues in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee leadership have engaged in a series of disparagements and ad hominem attacks about us, apparently as part of a concerted political and fundraising strategy. Just recently, Senator Reid wrote in a DSCC fundraising letter that Republicans are trying to “force through their extreme agenda faster than you can say ‘Koch Brothers.’” So you can imagine my chagrin when I got a letter from you on June 17 asking us to make five-figure contributions to the DSCC. You followed that up with a voicemail* indicating that,...

The House Democrats’ campaign wing is trolling for Medicare protesters at town halls this week in 20 Republican-held congressional districts, The Caucus Blog of The New York Times reports. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DSCC), which has launched a website called Don’t End Medicare, will provide picket signs and budget talking points to anyone who wants to attend. DSCC robo-calls denouncing Medicare reform are going out to seniors in Florida, Arizona, and other states in an attempt to ratchet up the noise level at constituent meetings with pro-reform lawmakers. Republicans say House Democrats are showing more interest in GOP meetings...
