Danish People’s Party MP Marie Krarup is under fire for saying that the EU is “without a doubt” a bigger threat to Denmark than Russia. Staff at Center Sandholm, Denmark’s largest asylum center, have suspicions that young refugee boys are being prostituted, Berlingske reported. Jannich Bisp, a supervisor at the center, told the newspaper that concerns have been raised about a group of teenage boys. “There are situations in which the boys receive a phone call, take off for a few hours and then come back with designer clothes,” Bisp said. A man who threatened to blow himself up on the roof of an asylum seeker and refugee centre in Denmark was arrested on Wednesday. The 22-year-old, who has not been identified, had been standing on the roof of the Nyborg Asylum Centre on the island of Funen making bomb threats. A 24-year-old asylum seeker from Iran made an initial court appearance on Monday to face charges of having raped a 19-year-old woman over the weekend. The assault took place in the southern Jutland town of Haderslev, where local Danish women earlier this year reported that they had been sexually harassed by asylum seekers.
