The owner of one of the city’s most famous celeb hangouts, the Spotted Pig, has been accused of routinely groping female employees and demanding sex and nude photos from them — while allowing his buddies to molest them too, a new report says. An after-hours space on the third floor of restaurateur Ken Friedman’s tony Village hot spot is even known among workers and industry insiders as “the rape room” — where public sex is on display, according to the New York Times, quoting 10 women who are accusing the powerful businessman of unwanted sexual advances. Former longtime server Trish...

Lena Dunham isn't the most reliable of narrators, but the New York Times is reporting that she, along with bigshot magazine editor Tina Brown, both warned the Hillary Clinton campaign all about Harvey Weinstein's depredations and got ignored. Hillary Clinton says she had never heard of any Weinstein problems until she read them in the news. Now, all by herself, Dunham might be suspected of publicity-hounding at this late date, but because Brown is making the same charge, she probably isn't.

Geraldo Rivera is apologizing for calling the news business “flirty” in the wake of “Today” show host Matt Lauer’s firing by NBC over sexual misconduct allegations. The Fox News reporter tweeted Wednesday that the sexual harassment issue is “so red hot right now there is no room for any thought or opinion but hang em high.” He added: “If News wasn’t (formerly) a flirty biz then how do we explain so many newsroom courtships that have led to happy marriages?” Rivera also suggested there was a “slight chance” that those making allegations were motivated by big money settlements.

Speaking on ABC's "This Week," Cokie Roberts made a startling admission: "every female in the press corps knew" to avoid being in an elevator with Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), and has apparently known about this "for years." Conyers has been accused of multiple instances of sexual harassment and has stepped down from the House Judiciary Committee. Despite the allegations against him, major players in the Democratic Party have defended Conyers and will not say that he should resign. Pelosi even referred to the embattled congressman as an "icon." Roberts was discussing the current culture on Capitol Hill with Martha Raddatz and Anna...

Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), who is embroiled in a sexual misconduct scandal, is hospitalized in his home state due to stress, according to two local reports on Thursday. "I just spoke with Monica Conyers on the phone and we want you to know that the congressman is resting comfortably in an area hospital. He's doing OK, as well as he can be expected for a gentleman that's approaching 90 years of age," Sam Riddle, a Conyers consultant, told WDIV TV. "The congressman's health is not what it should be and lot of that is directly attributable to this media assault."

“Purge The Pervs.” You must admit it’s far catchier and memorable that the Democrats' new slogan, “A Better Deal.” And clearly the Dems need a strategy that the public can believe in. So now, in the new Harvey Weinstein era, the Dems can finally become a pro-woman’s party. This time it will be for real, honestly. This time it’s zero tolerance. And just to prove it, they’re going to say less than complimentary things about the Clintons. What more could anyone ask for? Senator Kirsten Gillibrand started it. She called out Bill Clinton. She said he should have resigned during...

The top Democrat on the House Committee on Natural Resources used taxpayer dollars to pay off a former staffer who threatened to sue, claiming the lawmaker was often drunk and created a hostile workplace. Arizona Rep. Raul Grijalva’s secret deal with a former female staffer was revealed by The Washington Times on Monday. The payout was negotiated by the House Employment Counsel, the body’s attorney, and cost taxpayers $48,395. The settlement, however, may have violated House rules, The Times reported. It’s against House rules for a lawmaker to retain “an employee who does not perform duties for the offices of...

Shortened title. Full title: We've finally found something politicians and reporters have considered important enough to keep secret for decades Sherlock Holmes noticed the dog that didn't bark. Americans should pay close attention to the scandal that didn't leak. Information from the Mueller investigation leaks like a sieve.

(CNN)When Nancy Pelosi sat down for an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd on Sunday, she had to know that he was going to ask her about embattled Michigan Rep. John Conyers. After all, allegations from a number of former female staffers that the veteran Democrat had sexually harassed them were all over the news. All of which makes Pelosi's trainwreck of an answer on Conyers that much worse. Here's her exchange with Chuck: TODD: So, define zero tolerance. You said there's now a zero tolerance. PELOSI: Yes. TODD: John Conyers. What does that mean for him?...

As Guy has thoroughly exposed, over the weekend House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi defended Congressman John Conyers as an "icon" amid allegations he fired a woman on his staff after she refused to give him sexual favors. Over at Vox, Pelosi is being called out as the ultimate enabler of sexual harassers and abusers. "That woman." She'll also being held accountable as part of the reason why women don't come forward more often when they are victims of sexual misconduct. Conyers is the credible one. He is an “icon,” she told Todd. The woman? “I do not know who they...

After multiple groping allegations against Sen. Al Franken, the Minnesota Democrat says he knows he did wrong, but will not resign. "I've learned from these stories that in some of these encounters I have crossed the line for some women,” he told Minnesota Public Radio News. "I'm going to do my job and I'm going to go forward," he added. "I'm going to take responsibility. I'm going to be held accountable and I'm going to try to be productive in the way I speak about this." Franken hoped to “be a better man” after the experience and said Leeann Tweeden,...

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) defended former President Bill Clinton, Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) and Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) against allegations of sexual misconduct while attacking President Donald Trump and Alabama GOP U.S. Senate hopeful Roy Moore. On Clinton, Pelosi said, “I think it is a generational change. Let me say the concern we had then was that they were impeaching the president of the United States. and for something that had nothing to do with the performance of his duties and trying to take him out for that reason.” On Conyers, Pelosi...

President Donald Trump now claims that the Access Hollywood tape on which he boasted of sexually assaulting women may not be genuine, according to a report in The New York Times. On the tape, which surfaced weeks before the November 2016 presidential election, the former reality star can be heard bragging to TV presenter Billy Bush of grabbing women “by the p***y.” Trump faced calls to step aside from the race after the tape went public, and apologized for the remarks, dismissing them as “locker room talk.” However according to the Times, the president told a senator earlier this year...

Yesterday, Cortney covered new comments from John Conyers' (D-MI) former lawyer, Melanie Sloan, regarding his alleged sexual misconduct. But a 2006 CNN interview with Sloan and two other former staffers shows that he regularly established a pattern of inappropriateness, borderline negligence, and a hostile environment for his staffers and subordinates. As reported yesterday, Conyers on at least one occasion placed Sloan in an uncomfortable and lewd situation. “While she says she was not sexually harassed, she describes to the Detroit Free Press being verbally harassed and made uncomfortable on a number of occasions. She detailed Conyers bizarre behavior at one meeting...

No one should be fooled by Democrats’ sudden “concern” about women and sexual harassment. It’s nothing more than a public relations move to keep them from becoming known as the party of sexual predators. It’s too late for that. Every time an election nears, Democrats remind us they are the champions of women. I don’t buy it for one moment. If they really were, they wouldn’t have ignored the sexual misconduct of their heroes like JFK and Bill Clinton. The Democratic Party was already on the endangered list and headed for extinction, then, Harvey Weinstein happened. Do a Google image...

Democratic Minnesota Sen. Al Franken’s latest excuse for the groping allegations against him is that he is a “warm person” who likes to “hug people.” Four women have now come forward to accuse Franken of groping their butts or breasts. One of the women, Leeann Tweeden, also accused Franken of forcibly kissing her while rehearsing a skit on a USO trip in 2006. Franken released a Thanksgiving Day statement in which he attempted to downplay the allegations against him, while adding that he respects the “feelings” of his accusers. As sexual misconduct allegations continue to rock liberal Hollywood, the mainstream media establishment, and politicians of both political parties, at least the Democrats can count on CNN to eschew reporting about dozens of sexual allegations on members of their party. To be fair, it is worth noting that CNN has reported on a couple of the big Democrat sex scandals currently receiving major media attention on other news networks, specifically the scandals involving Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) and Rep. John Conyers (D-MI). When CNN is not busy giving President Donald Trump 93% negative coverage, covering for Islamic terrorists, botching gun...

The attorney for Democratic Michigan Rep. John Conyers, who is accused of continuously sexually harassing his female staffers, defended Conyers by indicating that there are allegations against "many members" of the House and Senate. [Snip] "[Conyers' attorney] acknowledged that while these allegations are serious, they are simply allegations," the statement said. "If people were required to resign over allegations, a lot of people would be out of work in this country including many members of the House, Senate and even the president." The statement said that Conyers has "no plans to resign" despite calls for him to do so.
