On Sunday, Dan Savage took to his blog to apologize for some controversial comments he made at an anti-bullying event. Savage said he shouldn’t have used the term “pansy-ass” and noted that he was not attacking Christianity, but rather, he was attacking hypocrisy. (Snip) People often point out that they can’t help it, they can’t help with the anti-gay bullying, because it says right there in Leviticus, it says right there in Timothy, it says right there in Romans that being gay is wrong. We can learn to ignore the bull**** in the Bible about gay people.

Dan Savage has personally insulted virtually every Republican candidate for higher office. Last year, Savage said on Bill Maher’s show, “I wish the Republicans were all f***ing dead.”

But he saved some special vitriol for Herman Cain. When Cain stated that he thought that homosexual activity was a choice in October 2011, Savage responded by telling Cain to “show us how a man can choose to be gay. Suck my dick, Herman.”

The Obama Administration has placed significant support behind the so-called It Gets Better Project. The White House has devoted a specific section of the WhiteHouse.gov website to the Project. President Obama, Vice President Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, and many other administration officials have cut videos on behalf of the Project. Now, the message of the Project is worthwhile. The organization is designed to protect children from bullying; its suggested pledge states: Everyone deserves to be respected for who they are. I pledge to...

Part of the hypocrisy of the "anti-bullying" movement is that the concept of bullying is never defined in a meaningful way. Evidently, bullying is one of those things that is defined by the "victim." Hence, we have the spectacle of the man who created the video "It Gets Better" can speak against the bullying of gay kids, but then turn around and bully kids with Christian beliefs - and get away with it. Fox News: As many as 100 high school students walked out of a national journalism conference after an anti-bullying speaker began cursing, attacked the Bible and reportedly...

If Obama and all these liberal groups supporting "It Gets Better" want to really stand up against bullying then they should stand up and tell the world that what Dan Savage did by bullying these Christian KIDS is wrong. Let me be clear, this following story from Todd Starnes of Fox News about Dan Savage of "It Gets Better" Bullying Christian kids is just another example of persecution and hypocrisy that Christians face in America. Worldwide now and throughout history, Christians are killed and bullied on a mass scale for believing in Jesus. bullying because of homosexuality does not even get measured on the same scale...

In an ironic twist, the nation’s top “gay bullying” opponent called Christian students “pansies” for walking out of his anti-bullying speech when he insulted the Bible, according to one report. Karla Dial of CitizenLink reported Wednesday that controversial syndicated columnist Dan Savage of the “It Gets Better Project,” a popular Internet-based campaign encouraging respect for homosexuality among youths, made the remarks during a journalism conference for students in Seattle. One source, a 17-year-old student from California, told CitizenLink that Savage called her and other Christian students “pansies” after they walked out of his anti-bullying speech when he referred to the...

MTV is now trying to lure young viewers with a saucy sex show in the "advice" category. They didn't reach for Dr. Drew or God forbid Dr. Ruth or an actual doctor of anything. They turned to filthy sex columnist and gay activist Dan Savage. The new show is called "Savage U," and it documents Savage touring college campuses to offer snarky/smutty advice to college students. This is MTV's libertine ideology pitched right at children, and Savage is blunt about how he'll be going around the parents. Savage explained to the Los Angeles Times that, "The idea is we're going...

A federal judge has ordered a Missouri school district to unblock its web filters and give students access to sexually explicit material by the middle of March. A US District Judge issued a preliminary junction against the Camdenton R – III School District banning them from using filtering software. The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit against the district claiming it was deliberately restricting access to homosexual themed sites, while allowing students to view what it claims are “anti-LG BT sites that condemn homosexuality.” In issuing its ruling, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri said...

Says he was maligned by video organizer Where was Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown when the rest of the state's delegation appeared in an anti-bullying video? On Thursday, his camp released a definitive answer. Brown's camp released a statement saying that while the senator supports the message of the "It Gets Better” video campaign aimed at gay, lesbian and transgendered teens, Brown refuses to associate with the founder of that campaign, controversial radio host Dan Savage. The release cited specific, obscene comments Savage made regarding a Scott Brown action figure last year. The statement also accused Brown's opponents of “trying to...

As NewsBusters previously reported, Friday's "Real Time" on HBO contained some of the most vile political talk ever broadcast on national television. In one panel segment, gay sex advice columnist Dan Savage said of Republicans, "I wish they were all f--king dead" (video follows with transcript and commentary, extreme vulgarity warning):

The era of civility was on full display during Friday night’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.” In the midst of a conversation about Michele Bachmann and her husband Marcus Bachmann’s Christian counseling clinic (recently underfire for attempting to turn gays straight through prayer), comedian Marc Maron spoke about how he thinks about “angrily ****ing” the Republican presidential candidate. “I don’t want to be crass, but I just hope that Marcus Bachmann takes all that, ya know, that rage that comes from repression and denial and brings it into the bedroom with her,” Maron said. “I hope he **** her angrily,...

I’ve been hearing whispers that Michele Bachmann’s husband, Marcus, is gay for a while. It’s now exploding into a full-on meme. Given my early bedtime, I’m always at least a day late on “Daily Show” bits. Last night, I saw this episode from Wednesday: CLICK ABOVE LINK FOR THE VIDEO Now, I admit, Marcus Bachmann is pudgy and has a less-than-baritone voice. But, last I checked, those aren’t the distinguishing characteristics of homosexuality. Apparently, gay activist Dan Savage has started pushing the meme hard, too. And Slate’s June Thomas is calling him out: Dan Savage begins each of his “Savage...

...In an interview/piece about the new hate crime statistics and the fact that gays are the most likely to be targeted in hate crimes of ANY minority, Dan Savage said the following, to a CNN anchor: "There are no 'two sides' to the issue of LGBT rights. Right now one side is really using dehumanizing rhetoric. The Southern Poverty Law Center labels these groups as hate groups and yet the leaders of these groups, people like Tony Perkins, are welcomed onto networks like CNN to espouse hate directed at gays and lesbians. And similarly hateful people who are targeting Jews...

No matter what one thinks of the homosexuality-affirming "It Gets Better" project, do we really want the president of the United States to be associated with radical sex columnist Dan Savage, the creator of this campaign? "It Gets Better" is the online video project that Chicago native Dan Savage created in which he seeks to end bullying by affirming homosexuality. Joining him in this effort are Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Kathleen Sebelius, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton. Savage--the even more offensive doppelganger of our Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings--celebrates homosexuality in general and his own in particular. He has chosen...

a friend has been sending me ecstatic emails about the speech. I just watched it—the speech is every bit as good as the ones candidate Obama gave, as the performance candidate Obama delivered at the HRC/Logo Democratic Primary Debate, as the open letter to the LGBT community that candidate Obama released before last November's election. Imagine all the wonderful things this guy is going to accomplish if he ever actually gets elected president. In other words: sorry, folks, nothing new to see here. Pledges, promises, excuses. Lip service. Other reactions...

Only on MSNBC, the network that prides itself as the "place for politics" could you see this type of anti-religion, anti-conservative vitriol. On MSNBC's Sept. 1 "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," host Keith Olbermann entertained the musings of Dan Savage, a syndicated sex columnist, author and gay-rights advocate about religious conservatives and their participation in public policy debate. "When you have a party that claims to speak for God or claims that God is on its side, the rhetoric heats up and the anger heats up because it's not just a battle about ideas and positions and what's good for the...

Liberals are staring into the red belly of this country with incomprehension and fear. They are wondering how one even begins to talk to the huge percentage of voters who told exit pollsters last Tuesday that "moral values" guided them in choosing president Bush. Among straight liberals there is a sudden feeling that it is desperately urgent to reach out to these people, that the straight liberal way of life may depend on it. Welcome to our world. We gay Americans have been wondering how to engage these people for years, and not just in an abstract, political-strategizing sort of...

First, some ancient history... Shortly after the September 11 attacks, I saw something that made me wanna hurl. I still see this something almost every day because it hangs in a window I pass on my way to work, and the urge to hurl--my lunch, a rock--is as fresh today as it was back when I first laid eyes on it. And just what is this offensive something? The American flag peace symbol that appeared on the cover of Seattle Weekly on September 20. They called it their "Peace and Patriotism" symbol. So what is it about the Weekly's, uh,...
