According to the Washington State Marijuana Impact Report, the incidents of marijuana-impaired driving are increasing dramatically. Fatal driving accidents have risen 122 percent between 2010 and 2014, according to the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission. Marijuana is big business in Washington state. There are more marijuana businesses than Starbucks in Washington state (despite the fact that Starbucks was founded in Seattle). The traffic safety organization AAA has its own reports on marijuana use among drivers in fatal crashes, and the picture is equally bleak.

Evans was walking home from a charity event near 8th St. and Hennepin Ave. early Sunday morning when he was attacked by six people. Court records say Derrick Houston hit Evans in the head - knocking him down and out. Then, while on the ground and unconscious, several others rifled through his pants, taking his money. He believes people should not be allowed to loiter as much as they do, and thinks better lighting would help things.

Officer Jordan Wenslow was beaten, bleeding, and dizzy when he arrested a fleeing burglary suspect. Gill allegedly picked up the baton and struck Officer Wenslow in the face several times. The officer was bleeding profusely and started getting dizzy when he drew his gun and told Gill to get down on the ground. Police say Gill dropped the baton and surrendered.

Three Suffolk County teens were arrested after allegedly assaulting a 60-year-old man earlier this week. According to police, one teen approached the victim while he was walking along Deer Park Avenue at around 12:55 p.m on May 4. Police said the suspect then punched the victim in the face, causing the man to fall to the ground, unconscious. The suspect then fled the scene with two other teens who were in a car nearby. The victim was left on the side of the road.

SILVER SPRING, Md. -- A federal security officer suspected in three fatal shootings outside a high school, a mall and a supermarket in the Washington, D.C., area was arrested Friday, police said. Three people were also wounded in the shootings. 28-year-old man gunned down at a Fairfield gas station earlier this month was apparently killed in a dispute over an engagement ring, and the brutal shooting was captured on store surveillance video.
