CNN President Jeff Zucker resigned from his position at the network Wednesday morning after failing to disclose a romantic relationship he had with another senior executive.“As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years,” he said, according to a statement posted to CNN Chief Media Correspondent Brian Stelter’s Twitter. “I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong.”“As a result, I am resigning...

CNN President Jeff Zucker announced to his staff Wednesday morning that he is resigning immediately from his role at the cable news network, which he has led since January 2013. Zucker said in a statement that his decision stemmed from him not disclosing a “consensual relationship” with his “closest colleague” when it first began. “I certainly wish my tenure here had ended differently,” he wrote. “But it was an amazing run. And I loved every minute.” Zucker oversaw all of WarnerMedia’s live programming, including all divisions of CNN and Turner Sports. That includes CNN, CNN International, HLN and CNN’s digital...

This was CNN cognitive dissonance on steroids -- with a booster shot of hypocrisy. Picture this. In its 7 am hour, New Day brought on CNN medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner who called the Times Square New Year's Eve celebration a potential "superspreader" event that is "completely unnecessary" and "unwise." Reiner called omicron "the most contagious pathogen that any of us have ever seen," estimating the true number of daily infections at one million. But the very next hour of New Day contained a long, hyper-excited, promo for . . . CNN's Times Square New Year's Eve special! CNN entertainment correspondent...

CNN’s Don Lemon faces a credible sexual assault allegation that will soon land in court, reports Fox News. “To some,” CNN tweeted Friday, “Ashli Babbitt, who was killed in the Capitol riot, was a terrorist. To others, she’s a martyr and seen as a recruiting tool.” Twitter’s legion of blue-check Leftist propagandists immediately protested that other “terrorists” are seen as martyrs as well. Never-Trump former Bush consultant Matthew Dowd likened Babbitt to Hitler, who was responsible for the murder of twelve million people in Europe, and actor Terry Kinney likened her to Mohamed Atta, who was partially responsible for the murder of nearly three thousand people on September 11, 2001. In their indignation, however, they ignored the fact...

Ana Navarro said Monday on ABC’s “The View” that Republicans attacking CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin for his “masturbation scandal” had “no moral standing” if they support former President Donald Trump. Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “We talk so much about cancel culture, what I like to call accountability culture. Where do you draw the line? The line seems to be constantly shifting depending on the person involved.”

For weeks now, President Donald Trump has been making the case that the coronavirus originated not in nature but in a lab in Wuhan, China. He said late last week that he had a "high degree of confidence" that was what happened (although he didn't specify why he felt that way) and on Sunday night in a Fox town hall offered cryptically "something happened." Enter Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease and perhaps the single most prominent doctor in the world at the moment. In an interview with National Geographic posted on Monday...

During the Sunday broadcast of “State of the Union,” CNN anchor Jake Tapper accused Republicans of pushing “made-up convoluted crap.” Tapper said, “Facts and truth often get beaten up on their way to you. There is context, spin and narrative and people make mistakes. But I want to talk about the notion of downright falsehoods, lies, inventions because there were several moments this week in which complete and utter nonsense was injected into mainstream politics. One was a story that twisted the conclusions of an academic paper from 2020 about reducing greenhouse gases to essentially invent the idea that President...

CNN has been hemorrhaging viewers since President Biden took office, with ratings down more than 50 percent in multiple categories since Inauguration Day. The liberal network spent years attacking former President Donald Trump and the network thrived during his final days in office amid a brief post-election spike. CNN averaged 2.2 million viewers during the first three weeks of 2021, but it has averaged just one million viewers since Biden took office, a staggering decline of 54 percent. CNN’s struggles are even more prominent among the key advertising demographic of adults age 25-54, with a drop of 60 percent. It...

CNN anchor Don Lemon said Friday on his show “Tonight” that Fox News host Tucker Carlson was mainstreaming “white supremacist propaganda to your neighbors and your family members.” Lemon said, “We got to talk about what’s happening over on the propaganda network, the Fox propaganda network. I don’t concern myself of what the other guys are doing. But let me tell you why I am doing this because this is the mainstreaming of white supremacist propaganda to your neighbors and your family members, and it is coming from Tucker Carlson who is promoting the so-called replacement theory. Theory is really...

CNN anchor Don Lemon said Tuesday on his show “Tonight” that former President Donald Trump was the “king of cancel culture” because the voters canceled him. Discussing the new Georgia voting law, Lemon said, “The former president, you know, you knew he would get in the middle of this, didn’t you? Putting out a statement complaining about woke cancel culture in all caps. In case you might have missed it, and our sacred elections, and another calling for a boycott of baseball and what he calls all of the woke companies that are interfering with free and fair elections. Are...

CNN’s Jim Acosta said Sunday on “Reliable Sources” that many within the news media were dealing with “post-Trump stress disorder” in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s presidency. Anchor Brian Stelter said, “Do you feel like you are rundown, your lineup is really different than it would have been in the Trump years?” Acosta said, “When you asked me if I was rundown, I was wondering if you were asking me how I felt during the Trump era. I think we’re all dealing with some post-Trump stress disorder.” He continued, “There are questions about why aren’t Republicans getting on board with...

*snip* Afterward, members of the Secret Service voiced escalating concern at what many of the agency's personnel have determined is total disregard for their well-being amid a deadly and highly contagious pandemic. Agents have tested positive for the virus while traveling for the President's political rallies, which he insisted on maintaining even against federal health guidelines. As employees self-quarantine or isolate in place, others have been forced to work longer hours to fill the void. It's a situation that has prompted growing and more vocal concern. "That should never have happened," one current Secret Service agent who works on the...

Riots broke out in Atlanta on Saturday night following the death of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks on Friday night at a Wendy’s Brooks fought with police, stole their taser gun and was shot dead when he turned to use it on the officers. On Saturday night a CNN crew was covering the riots at the Wendy’s restaurant when they were attacked. The CNN crew was jumped near the Wendy’s by violent rioters. It looks like one rioter used a skateboard to beat the CNN camera crew.

Albeit obscenely late and buried on a Saturday afternoon, there was a small victory for those demanding TV news networks cover former Senate staffer Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden as CNN broke its on-air silence with a seven-minute-and-30-second segment. The mea culpa came less than 24 hours after a bombshell story from The Intercept alleging Reade’s mother called into the August 11, 1993 Larry King Live on CNN and vaguely alluded to her daughter’s ordeal. Early Friday night, the Media Research Center quickly located, clipped, published, and tweeted the video, becoming the first outlet to share it...
