Are you a conspiracy theorist? If you are thoughtful and interested in public affairs, the media will say you are. And they will smear and dismiss you for it.Dr. Anthony Fauci covers his face while President Trump talks during a coronavirus briefing. (White House/Screenshot)For more than half a century, certainly since the Kennedy assassination, anyone who notices patterns and missing pieces in public life, and attempts a possible explanation that suggests cover-ups or other nefarious dealing, is denounced as a “conspiracy theorist” and hence self-evidently wrong and probably crazy. The trouble is that it is very difficult to make sense of...

Craig Unger, author of the just published House of Bush, House of Saud, believes that "the secret relationship between these two families helped to trigger the Age of Terrorism and give rise to the tragedy of 9/11." The book contains some very nice details about the natural sympathy between Saudis and Texans, especially their shared affinity for guns and horses and oil, but the fact that the Bushes were close to the Saudis is hardly news. Indeed, the United States' special relationship with Saudi Arabia has been the only consistent aspect of American foreign policy in the Middle East since...

'My wife has greenlighted it,' RFK Jr. said of his potential 2024 run for president Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering running for president in 2024, challenging President Biden for the Democratic nomination, and he says his wife approves. "I am thinking about it yes. I have passed the biggest hurdle, that my wife has greenlighted it," Kennedy told a crowd in New Hampshire on Friday, according to reports. Kennedy's wife, actress Cheryl Hines, was reportedly attending the speech at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, which for nearly a quarter-century has been a must stop in the Granite State...
  • 'Your attorneys messed up. You know what perjury is, right?': Alex Jones squirms as he's told his lawyers MISTAKENLY disclosed his Sandy Hook text messages which he said didn't exist - as he finally admits shooting wasn't a hoax

Alex Jones appeared shocked as he was told his lawyers had accidentally handed over hundreds of text messages by mistake after he told a court that they did not exist, after admitting that the Sandy Hook massacre did happen. The InfoWars host squirmed in his seat after confirming his phone number was linked to the texts, after previously declaring under oath at the defamation hearing that there were no messages about Sandy Hook on his phone. Jones was horrified to discover that his team sent a digital copy of every text and email about Sandy Hook, despite declaring under oath...

If you think your social media experience is unimpeded, we have proof to the contrary. Just before the Fourth of July, Military Miniature Press announced the reveal of The Russia-Ukraine War Factbook, a comprehensive and unobstructed guide to the ongoing conflict. As we describe it, the book is an "objective look" at the war, geared not by propaganda or political influence, but by facts. Yet when we tried to advertise the book on Facebook and Twitter, we received the same response — it fell under a blanket ban merely for being about the Russia-Ukraine War. We're not ignorant of the...

Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that he believed former President Donald Trump and others “conspired in a criminal way to overturn” the 2020 election and prevent President Joe Biden from taking power. Woodward said, “I think people are going to watch. They realize the stakes are our democracy and what happened. I’m am convinced, having spent part of my life on Donald Trump, that he and others conspired in a criminal way to overturn the election and prevent Biden from taking power legitimately.”

The US Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, Don Cochran, said Sunday that the man responsible for the explosion that shook Downtown Nashville on Christmas morning has been positively identified. ... It was also revealed Sunday that a song played before the audio warning and countdown. The song was “Downtown,” the 1964 hit by Petula Clark. The investigation continues into a possible motive and officials are probing whether Warner was a believer of the 5G conspiracy theory. Some people believe 5G towers cause cancer or are used by the federal government for spying on citizens. According to ABC News’...

McConnell's familial link to Chao family's Foremost shipping company, Chinese State Shipbuilding corporation, and Bank of China resurface after Kentucky senator's declaration of victory for Joe Biden ... McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, is the daughter of shipping magnates James and Ruth Chao and the sister of Angela Chao, the latter of whom was appointed to a non-executive position on the Bank of China’s board of directors in 2016. ... However, critics have noted that the fact McConnell’s public refusal to help President Trump in the latter’s fight to restore election integrity could be influenced by the fact that President Trump’s...

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow lost half-a-million viewers in just one week after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report indicated that he did not find enough evidence to support collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Maddow has been one of the most prominent voices on the collusion conspiracy, spending most of her programs over the past two years on allegations that President Donald Trump coordinated with the Russian government to win the 2016 presidential election. Maddow struggled to hold back tears as she delivered her opening monologue last Friday, clearly stunned that Mueller did not bring any indictments against the president...
  • Democrat Senator: ‘Infowars Is Just The Tip Of A Giant Iceberg’

Following the removal of Alex Jones from Facebook, Apple and YouTube, for violating “hate speech” policies, Democrat Senator Chris Murphy tweeted “Infowars is just the tip of a giant iceberg.”Monday afternoon Murphy tweeted, “I know Facebook and Apple and YouTube have gotten so big they sometimes seem like the government. But they aren’t. They are private companies that shouldn’t knowingly spread lies and hate. They took a good first step today removing Infowars. Infowars is just the tip of the iceberg of hate and lies that uses sites like Facebook and Youtube to tear our nation apart. These companies must do more than take down one website. • Apple, Facebook and other tech companies delete content from Alex Jones

Major technology companies including Apple, Facebook and YouTube deleted years of content from conservative conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his Infowars platforms over allegations of hate speech, a sudden clampdown that is fueling the growing debate over how big technology companies choose to censor. The move was unusual for its sweep and speed, suggesting a new assertiveness by technology companies that in the past have worked to avoid alienating conservatives, who often assert that left-leaning Silicon Valley is biased against them. The removals appeared to be prompted by more users flagging Infowars content for policy violations. ''' "...spreading provocative theories...

It’s an ancient story: An innocent idealist sets out to change the world and in the process becomes what he hates most. “He who fights monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster,” Friedrich Nietzsche advised. That’s probably the best spin one can put on Sidney Blumenthal, the longtime Hillary Rodham Clinton aide and confidant. But it would be just that — spin — given that Blumenthal was never an idealist, never mind an innocent. He has remained the same man he was in 1976, when he co-edited Government by Gunplay: Assassination Conspiracy Theories from...

Larry Buchanan, the filmmaker who has died aged 81, specialised in the niche market for what he called "guerrilla filmmaking" - truly dreadful B-movies with such names as Zontar, the Thing from Venus; Curse of the Swamp Creature; Naughty Dallas and Mars Needs Women, a film which reputedly features in every list of the worst movies ever made. But even this last title found a market, and reached its widest audiences in a version dubbed into Yiddish. Buchanan combined the roles of producer, director, screenwriter, editor and, where appropriate, voice-over narrator. He was unashamed, even proud, of tacky production values,...

  • McKinney touts 9/11 inquiry

<p>Former Rep. Cynthia A. McKinney, the Georgia Democrat who suggested that the Bush administration had prior warning of the September 11 attacks, says an independent commission's investigation into the matter justifies her concerns.</p> <p>"What it proves is that we need to have answers to the question that I originally asked," Mrs. McKinney said in an interview. Mrs. McKinney said she was right to question what the White House knew before the attacks, but that some comments about the administration were taken out of context and have become an "urban legend" among her foes. Her comments March 25, 2002, during an interview on KPFA radio in Berkeley, Calif., implied that the White House allowed the attacks so investment groups specializing in defense contracts would benefit from an ensuing military buildup. She singled out the Carlyle Group, where Mr. Bush's father, former President George Bush, was an adviser. "What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11?" Mrs. McKinney said at the time. "Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? What do they have to hide?" Mrs. McKinney now says she never meant to imply Mr. Bush let the attacks occur so others could benefit. "There was a lot of heat and fury. Innocent Americans were attacked. ... Our country was reacting. I'm part and parcel of that atmosphere," said Mrs. McKinney, who is running for her old congressional seat, which she lost to fellow Democrat Denise Majette, now a Senate candidate. However, Mrs. McKinney still has few kind words for the White House. "The Bush administration keeps giving us answers that don't answer, explanations that don't explain and conclusions that don't conclude," she said in Friday's interview. She praised the 10-member commission examining pre-September 11 intelligence failures and said she found "absolutely riveting" the testimony by former counterterrorism chief Richard A. Clarke, who depicted Mr. Bush as obsessed with invading Iraq.</p>
