The one-time president of a prominent abortion-right group was sued Friday by the New York Attorney General’s office for using charity funds for designer shopping sprees, a five-bedroom house rental in the Hamptons and transporting her children to and from school. The office of state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman filed a civil suit in Manhattan that accuses former NARAL Pro-Choice New York president Kelli Conlin of using more than $250,000 in charity funds during her tenure to for her own benefit, despite a compensation package that reached $380,000 in 2010....

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Baseball Hall of Fame sports columnist Bill Conlin of the Philadelphia Daily News retired abruptly Tuesday after learning that he’s been accused of molesting underage children decades ago. “(The feeling in the newsroom) was an overwhelming sense of shock, a sense of outrage, a sense of sadness,” said Larry Platt, editor of the Philadelphia Daily News. Conlin is alleged to have molested at least four children (one man and three women, including Conlin’s niece), in the 1970′s, when the children were then between the ages of seven and 12. Ever since the passage of the Democrats failed stimulus package that saddled Americans with almost a trillion dollars in new debt, there have been widespread reports of abuse. From a ‘tunnel to nowhere’ to international ant research, projects across the country have wasted untold amounts of taxpayer dollars – and now we can see it happening right here in Iowa. There has been much made of this poll. But one has to wonder what Charles Grassley did that made his numbers drop so drastically in two days. The well-known Rasmussen poll, done on 5/3 has Grassley leading Conlin 53% to 40 %. With no stories or scandals hitting the air ways or newspapers, it is hard to feature a loss of 4% in two days for Grassley.

Conlin is wealthy enough to finance her own campaign. She will also receive plenty of funding from her out-of-state liberal friends. Conlin is the former president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. This is a group that the entire Democratic Party is beholden too. In fact, former DNC chairman Howard Dean admitted that it was the trial lawyers that are preventing the Democrats from inserting necessary tort reform into the ObamaCare bill.
