Leland Yee, a Democratic state senator and candidate for secretary of state in California, has been a longtime champion of gun control. This week he was arrested on numerous charges, including conspiracy to deal firearms without a license and conspiracy to illegally transport firearms. Yee, a prominent foe of assault weapons, allegedly took bribes to set up a meeting between an undercover agent and an international arms dealer to broker the sale of automatic weapons and shoulder-fired missiles. A lengthy FBI affidavit also describes Yee’s ties to a Chinese triad and his desire to help out Islamist militants.

It's a clear indication that Democrats don't have the votes -- or the public support -- to pass their own climate-change legislation. Democrats have decided to lean-in, not back-away, from so-called clean energy. Despite the embarrassing history of government-funded green-energy failures, “wealthy environmentalists are pushing Democrats to take bolder positions on climate change”—and global warming, as an issue, provides the impetus for more green-energy spending. The Boston Globe reported on a recent “summit between Washington’s liberal elite and San Francisco’s climate intelligensia” that included “Senate majority leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, six other senators, and … Al Gore.” The Globe points to new efforts by Democrats to “make global warming a central issue during the midterms.”

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he knows his recent comments about the Koch brothers -- wealthy Republican donors -- have stirred controversy. More, it’s utterly bizarre how the left in the American political spectrum refuses to either admit Barack is an astounding danger to the future of our democratic republic, or to stand up to him over his many shameful actions.

Last week the First Lady in an attempt to be humorous made the statement that America’s young people are “knuckleheads” showing how the administration views millennials. Young people are fully capable of making their own decisions for their own lives despite what the First Lady thinks. Being young is all about trial and error, lessons and mistakes, taking away a young person’s ability to decide what’s best for themselves doesn’t help them—it hinders them from becoming an independent adult in today’s world.

I don’t recall when I first wrote about Obama telling lies, but it surely must have been early in his first term, if not even earlier in the 2008 campaign. So much of the information about his life was subject to question that it raised my concern. The way ObamaCare was reamed through a Congress that hadn’t even read the bill put me on full alert. No Republican voted for it.
