Here's an undeniable statement: the evil done by far-right people is eagerly exposed by the corrupt corporate media, while heinous actions on the left are often ignored or even justified. Hatred of Jews is that rare mental disorder that cuts across extremist boundaries. Neo-Nazis loathe anything Jewish, as history demonstrates. The progressive left cadres around the world feel the same way the Nazis do. When I was in Belfast last June, there were large anti-Semitic posters on display in that still divided Northern Irish city. Many of those "hate sheets" proudly proclaimed sponsorship by socialist or communist organizations. Back home,...

mostly remained unaware of the Senate sex kerfuffle. The ick factor was strong with that story .. was brought to us by the party that wants to "bring back decency." If you want a real laugh .. NBC News has decided that conservative media is somehow responsible for a Democrat making a sex tape at work. In more disturbing news, the anti-Israel, pro-Hamas cancer on college campuses is even worse than many thought. ... The Harvard Center for Political Studies and Harris released a shocking poll about Israel ... 51% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 said...

As anti-Israel protesters swarmed college campuses, MIT president Sally Kornbluth drew a line in the sand: Any student engaged in an unsanctioned protest would face expulsion. On Nov. 9, students decided to try their luck and hold a "die-in" at a campus location that explicitly bars protests. Kornbluth said the demonstration got so heated that she feared it "could lead to violence," but she did not enforce her prohibition. Students involved in the protest simply received a "non-academic suspension," a slap on the wrist that allows them to continue attending class. Kornbluth's about-face was an attempt to protect foreign students,...

Quick — you’re being targeted by the cancel culture mob. Your inbox is blowing up. Your Twitter mentions are filled with hate. There’s a petition demanding your termination. What do you do? According to three professors who’ve all had this happen to them recently — they all agree on one thing — don’t cave. “The pressure to apologize in an effort to appease one’s tormentors can be tremendous, but do not give into the pressure. If you feel you did no wrong, do not apologize,” said Princeton University classics Professor Joshua Katz. “I have watched people abase themselves before the...

There is an organized and growing effort to push back against the cancel culture on college campuses. Thousands of conservative and libertarian scholars and academics are standing up and issuing a ringing endorsement of academic freedom. It’s called “The Philadelphia Statement on Civil Discourse and the Strengthening of Liberal Democracy” and has been signed by such luminaries as Robert George, Christina Hoff Sommers, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and more. The statement embodies concepts that all can embrace — at least, those whose minds haven’t been poisoned by the radical left. Tragically, we are losing these defining features of our democracy. Common...

The Trump administration has taken several steps to address the growing threat of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) influence on U.S. college campus last week. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo designated Confucius Institute U.S. centers as a foreign agent for Communist China. His action was followed by a letter to the governing boards of American universities from Under-Secretary Keith Krach. Krach warned these board members that their institutions are at the forefront of a serious challenge “brought on by the authoritarian influence of the Chinese Communist Party.”Within the same week, the Wall Street Journal reported that some professors at several...

'Even a phenomenon as menacing as COVID-19 is one of the inevitable risks of life,' writes Purdue President and former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. While other education leaders are waiting for politicians to release their students from the lockdowns suspending their futures, former Indiana governor Mitch Daniels, now head of Purdue University, is making plans to reopen his campus for fall.“We have every intention of being on campus this fall,†he told the faculty senate on April 20, according to USA Today. “We are sober about the challenges that will bring. We believe in the value of the on-campus experience,...

Students at the University of Michigan, beware. If you say anything politically incorrect or out-of-line with the political and social orthodoxy on your campus, you may get a knock on your dorm room door from the university’s equivalent of the Thought Police, and be forced into a re-education camp. Or you may be suspended or thrown out of school, potentially damaging your educational prospects and your entire future professional career. If this sounds like an exaggeration, consider a new lawsuit filed in federal court in Michigan by Speech First, Inc., against the president of the University of Michigan, other...

Several colleges across the country are investigating after a rash of anti-Semitic fliers began printing from their network-connected printers or fax machines. The fliers began appearing Thursday at schools including New Jersey’s Princeton University, Rhode Island’s Brown University, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. […] The fliers are addressed to “white men.” They disparage Jewish people and include links to a neo-Nazi website. …

Harvard professor and legal eagle Alan Dershowitz talks about political correctness and 'safe spaces' on college campuses. Dershowitz tells college students to "stay home" if they want a safe space. ... they don't want to hear opposing points of view. They know everything they need to know about race, about gender, about rape, about you name it, climate control. They don't want to hear opposing points of view... ... We have to distinguish between safe spaces for ideas, where there should be none, and physically safe places where you're not intimidated or you're not threatened. And christian speakers, pro-Israel speakers,...

At this point we could probably use a second blog to do nothing but stories about college campuses and the activities of the special snowflakes who are going to create safe space homes for themselves there. The story coming out of Vanderbilt this week might have been shocking in years past, but by now it’s just a footnote to the daily rap sheet. The students at this esteemed university, having seen the “success†of their fellow seekers of knowledge at Mizzou, are looking to give the boot to one of their professors. Her crime? Penning an editorial many months ago...

Hillary Clinton says all female sexual-assault accusers 'have the right to be believed' but skips over accused child rapist she defended in the 1970s – and what of Bill's 'bimbo eruptions'? Hillary Clinton provoked a fearsome outrage from the political right on Monday with an online video in which she insists Americans should reflexively side with young women on college campuses who accuse male students of sexual assault. 'You have the right to be heard. You have the right to be believed. We're with you,' the Democratic front-runner says in the video, which she addresses 'to every survivor of sexual...

A group called College Rank has helpfully compiled a list of colleges with the best leisure pools in academe, some replete with lazy rivers. "Recreational facilities and amenities have become a major part of the appeal of college campuses around the country,” Mackenzi Flannery, the article's author says. “Our list highlights some of the top leisure pool facilities and what those options provide to students as they look to complete their collegiate experience with some downtime in the water." While you peruse the list, you might ponder whether cash-strapped parents who send their children to these spas-with-degrees-attached can afford their...

The perverted habit of glorifying people like Mumia Abu-Jamal has been part of tedious campus “radicalism” for the past 45 years. Still, I can’t get too worked up over the fact that a bunch of twits at Goddard College invited a murderer to their school. For one, these sorts of incidents help me compile a list of schools for my kids to avoid. What is interesting, though, is how academics and administrators continue to rationalize moronic behavior: “As a reflection of Goddard’s individualized and transformational educational model,” Goddard College Interim President Bob Kenny explained, “…choosing Mumia as their commencement speaker,...

The FBI and Seattle authorities were investigating a Nevada man who was arrested after he was spotted on the University of Washington campus in a stolen truck carrying multiple explosive devices, stolen firearms and body armor, police said Thursday. The man was arrested a few blocks away after a police pursuit near Seattle Children's Hospital late Wednesday, said John Vinson, chief of the University of Washington police. He gave no further details of the pursuit, but he described the arrest as "high-risk." Justin Miles Jasper was arrested early Thursday and was being held without bail in the King County jail...

Former College Student Opts Not To Graduate Because He Cannot Carry His Gun. just three classes short of graduation, is not going back to Front Range Community College because of its campus rules on guns. "I've carried a gun every day for six years. I have a permit. Everything is legal. They still will not allow me to carry on their campus because it violates their student code of conduct," said Aaron Brown, a former student. Brown was suspended for six months after he was found carrying his gun on the college campus. He has no plans to come back...

So you're a feminist?...Isn't that cuteMike S. Adams (archive) May 27, 2003 | Print | SendDear UNC-Wilmington Board of Trustees:It has recently come to my attention that a feminist student at UNCW has taken offense to a sticker on my office door which reads "So you're a feminist . . . Isn't that cute." I found this out after obtaining a copy of a letter her father wrote to you, the Board of Trustees. I could comment at some length on the obvious hypocrisy of this student's decision to ask her father to defend feminism for her, but I won't....
