Larry Smith is accused of shooting and killing his next door neighbor Adam Ladner during an altercation in January. It all started when Smith called police for a noise complaint against Ladner. After police left Ladner's home, Smith says Ladner became violent with him. According to court documents, at some point during this physical confrontation, Smith shot Ladner. The father, who cannot be identified due to a publication ban, allegedly reached over a partition to grab the coach after the boy was kept on the bench during Sunday's game.
