A member of the U.S. Army Band said he was forced out of the U.S. Army for having anti-Obama bumper stickers on his personal car, serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at a party and reading books written by conservative authors like Sean Hannity, a federal lawsuit alleges. Master Sergeant Nathan Sommers, a 25-year veteran of the military and a decorated soloist in the U.S. Army Band Chorus, claims he was forcibly retired from the Army due to his religious and conservative political beliefs. I first told you about Sommers last year in a series of exclusive Fox News reports. Join Todd on...

Do Americans have a right to oppose unjust authority? Given our history, this right goes without saying. You see, our country was founded by men resisting the unjust rule of Great Britain. More precisely, in one of history’s most famous recitations of the Right of Resistance, the American Declaration of Independence itself says,

In an Esquire article posted this week, which highlights the abysmal practices of abortionist Willie Parker, titles the story the Abortion Ministry of Dr. Willie Parker. Excuse me- Abortion Ministry? Are you kidding? How is the brutal murder of unborn children all-of-a-sudden a ministry? To add insult to injury- the pro-abortion website posing as a news outlet interviewed abortionist Parker who said this, “I see women who are crying because they are Christians,” he continues, “and they are torn up by...

Christian refugees march against persecution by Islamic State fighters outside the UN compound in Irbil, Iraq (also below - CNS) Iraqi Christian refugees braved temperatures as high as 50ºC (122ºF) to demand that the United Nations intervene to protect them from persecution by Islamist militants.Sahar Mansour, a Chaldean Catholic who fled Mosul, Iraq, in June, told Catholic News Service by email that she saw some of the demonstrators faint in the heat as they marched from their refugee camp in Ankawa to the UN base in Irbil.“We were holding banners in Arabic, English, Chaldean and French against the violence that...

I would like to apologize in advance if this post comes off as angry. But I’m angry. I’m angry at all this unfair bloodshed and I’m angry at feeling betrayed by fellow Christians. I’m angry at ignorance. I’m angry at propaganda that shoves misconstrued realities down peoples’ throats. I am aware that most of the Christians I know are westernized, and thus, like myself, have been raised with Zionistic, anti-Islamic viewpoints. But I hope that if nothing else, then through this blog post you would at least consider the other side: there are Christians who love Jesus as much as...

ISIS’s rapid takeover of parts of Syria and Iraq and the creation of the Islamic State have gravely impacted the Arab-Christian populations that inhabit the region. Churches in the area can trace their origin to the time of Jesus Christ. Islamists, in the city of Mosul, issued an ultimatum to all Christians within the newly founded caliphate to either convert to Islam, pay a religious levy (Zakat) or face death. The Christian community is escaping to Kirkuk and the relative religious tolerance and safety of the Kurdish zone. Origin During the First Council of Nicea that resulted in the first...

(Vatican Radio) The Italian government was instrumental in arranging for Ibrahim’s release. Today the White House released a statement celebrating Meriam Ibrahim’s release. They did not mention Christianity once in their statement. The United States is delighted that Meriam Yahya Ibrahim Ishag is now safe and free and will soon be traveling to the United States. This entire Tony Dungy episode is a microcosm of a new slippery slope emerging in America. For the record, I truly don’t care if someone is gay or if they support gay marriage. What does it matter in a nation predicated upon freedom? However, if someone utters even a hint of negativity that can somehow be construed as the most infinitesimal slight against homosexuality, they are immediately barraged with contempt and scorn. I’m sorry, my apologies, I thought this was America where people are allowed to have an opinion without be conditioned? Tolerance and freedom of speech are not mutually...

They are marking the Christians’ homes with ن, a nūn, for Nasara, which is the Qur’an’s word for Christians: Nazarenes. Probably they are doing this so that they can know from which houses to demand the jizya, the tax that the Qur’an demands that the subjugated People of the Book pay in the Islamic state: “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya...

Imagine being killed because of your religion. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a radical Islamic group, says this will start happening in Iraq by Saturday and the threat is sending shockwaves through the community of more than 50,000 Chaldeans in the San Diego area. At St. Michael Chaldean Church in El Cajon, locals are hoping for peace. Chaldeans visit the church in east San Diego by the thousands to pray for the thousands of victims killed in Iraq and people being persecuted because of their religion. One of the women praying there is Sister Francois. Though she’s...

US policy regarding the UN picks who becomes US refugees. Christians are being refused refugee status and face persecution and many times certain death for their religious beliefs under the sharia, while whole Muslim communities are entering the US by the tens of thousands per month despite the fact that they face no religious persecution. It is horrifying that Afghan Christians are being refused refugee status by the UN and many Western nations, including Britain. The UN claims that Afghan Christians do not meet the criteria for refugees under Statute 6B of the UN High Commission of Refugees (UNHCR), which...

CBS put on an anti-religion jeremiad early Thursday morning on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson: a feminist musician who likes “wearing and making something Satanic since music is so not right now.” Piano-banging rock singer Kristeen Young made her late-night TV debut, accompanied by Foo Fighters stars Dave Grohl and Pat Smear. She sang the song “Pearl of a Girl” that criticizes Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, but most gratuitously proclaims about Jesus “I wish the virgin would’ve had an abortion.” [See video below. MP3 audio here.] It’s a bit hard to make out in Kristeen’s ranty performance on...

Excerpted from Campus Reform: The town of Salem, Mass., has pitted itself against Gordon College after the president of the private Christian school added his name to a public letter to President Obama asking for a religious exemption from a planned federal mandate. The expected executive order would force any organization receiving federal funds, including religiously based organizations, to hire people whose sexual conduct may not fall in line with their beliefs. Gordon says the mandate would be an “infringement on religious liberty” and “the rights of faith-based institutions to establish a set of standards and expectations for their community.”...
