A 4-year old boy was mauled to death by pit bulls Wednesday afternoon while playing outside in a friend’s yard. The victim, who was not immediately identified, was with his 24-year-old mother visiting a friend on Edwardsville Road at about 4 p.m. when the attack occurred.
