A 4-year old boy was mauled to death by pit bulls Wednesday afternoon while playing outside in a friend’s yard. The victim, who was not immediately identified, was with his 24-year-old mother visiting a friend on Edwardsville Road at about 4 p.m. when the attack occurred. According to Delaware State police, the boy’s mother, who is several months pregnant, was inside of the house while the 4-year-old played in the yard near her friends three pit bulls.
