This is not the first time Phillips has garnered media attention accusing students of racism. Phillips previously accused students from Eastern Michigan University of being racist toward him in 2015. Catholics across the United States have for years wondered if and when pro-abortion “Catholics” like Nancy Pelosi or John Kerry would be told not to present themselves for Communion because they are out of step with Catholic Church teachings on the sanctity of human life. Cardinal Raymond Burke, the former archbishop of St. Louis and now the chief justice at the Vatican’s highest court saying prohibiting Pelosi and Kerry from receiving Communion”makes perfect sense,” according to a new interview Burke gave to EWTN. As CNS News reports on the interview: In an interview with EWTN’s Raymond Arroyo on Dec. 13,...

  • Catholic Curious about Opus Dei...?

I'm a Catholic since birth, but haven't actively participated in the church in over 10 years. The recent problems w/ homosexual priests and pedafile's have left me even more so disillusioned w/ the church and it's inability to tackle moral issues. I'm coming to a point in my life where i'm starting to have questions about my spirtuality, and Catholicism in particular. I've read a little about Opus Dei and how they represent a more direct interpretation of Catholicism, sans the politics, pedafiles, and parsing of words. Does anyone have any opinion about the Opus Dei sect within the catholic...
