As we reported earlier today, Southwest Airlines canceled hundreds of flights yesterday claiming, initially, that it was due to bad weather and that there were air traffic control issues. But their issues continued, with another 1,000 flights canceled today, as well — almost 28% of their total flights. This was the second straight day of significant issues. As we noted earlier, the claim of “weather” didn’t match what was happening in the country, and it wasn’t hitting other carriers. So, that wasn’t the real story. Fox’s Leland Vittert indicated that there was a “mass sickout” in protest of vaccine mandates. That many...

We all have bad moments. Plenty of us also have moments that just look bad when taken out of context. These instances used to break the surface of public attention only briefly, if at all. When they lingered, they did so only as painful personal memories. But over the past decade, all that has changed. “Cancellation” has become a regular occurrence, and the threat of it hangs over us all. High-quality video cameras are everywhere, and anything can be recorded. Thanks to social media, even the most trivial interaction can be captured and broadcast to the world. So you lose...

In the months since the horrific attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, Big Tech and Democrats have increasingly used the Capitol riot as a scapegoat to target conservatives. Big Tech platforms like Facebook and Twitter booted President Donald Trump and then they coordinated to destroy Parler. Democrats have plotted a new domestic “war on terror” and tried to blame the riot on Republicans who voted to contest the 2020 election results. Yet something entirely new happened on Sunday. A team of USA Today reporters targeted online crowdfunding platforms that allow people accused of crimes related to the Capitol...

"Right now, we are facing an unprecedented crisis that has led to millions of Americans at risk of housing instabilities and homelessness," Omar said during a press conference. A heartening story out of the UK, in which a man who was ousted from his position as the head of an 'anti-social behavior reduction' charity after he sharply criticized Black Lives Matter has been reinstated. Not only that, every member of the craven board of trustees who voted to remove him has now been jettisoned, as part of a deal to avoid promised, costly litigation. This is quite a dramatic turn of events:

For those of you unfamiliar with cancel culture, it’s speech that speaks out against other speech that may be speaking speakings that other speakers find offensive. The organizers of the recent Harper’s Magazine letter against cancel culture didn’t ask me to participate in their project, despite the fact that my Uncle, T. Gore Pollack III, was that magazine’s founding editor. They neglected to include me because they’re afraid of my ideas. Also, I’ve either divorced, broken up with, or participated in a conscious friendship uncoupling with at least a dozen of the signatories. Such is the price of profligacy and...
