The U.S. Senate candidates spent Monday campaigning in Knoxville — Bob Corker with some of the top guns of the GOP and Democrat Harold Ford Jr. at "shake-and-howdy" at Calhoun’s at Bearden. Both events each drew about 100 enthusiastic supporters. Corker’s campaign stop featured Sens. John McCain of Arizona, Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist. Corker, former Chattanooga mayor, and U.S. Rep.
