The Louisiana House of Representatives just passed and adopted a resolution (HR170) calling on law enforcement and government agencies in Louisiana to avoid and suspend contacts and outreach activities with the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). The vote was 63-18. Congratulations to Rep. Barry Ivey, the resolution's author and to Rep. Mike Johnson Rep. Valarie Hodges and Rep. Cameron Henry for their work in support of the resolution, the first of its kind in America...but certainly not the last.

No surprise. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. Whether Islam will eventually be reformed is an open question. The topic is much discussed by Muslims, a few of whom favor reformation and more of whom oppose it. The Citadel military college has decided a newly accepted Muslim student cannot wear her traditional Muslim headscarf if she enrolls. WICHITA - An investigation has wrapped up, after two Wichita State University students said they were the target of racial slurs; it happened last month at a gas station in northeast Wichita at 21st & Oliver.
