  • Gore Names?

Well Gorebot (which hasn't been mentioned yet) is ancient, I think it dates to rush bashing gore for his "earth in the balance" stuff.

Personaly, I think gore is a nothing, and shouldn't even be given credence, because even if he is proven wrong, it won't matter, since he will be used as a foil for "debate" even though gore himself in "an inconvenient truth" (isn't that a paraphrase of Martin Luther? exactly how egotistical do you have to be to compare yourself to Martin Luther (the reformist not the "civil rights" activist))

Gore is nothing, ignore him, and let his cult follow him and his party into oblivion.

Sometimes, all it takes for evil to win is for good men to do nothing.

On the other hand, sometimes all it takes for good to win, is to let retarded people speak for themselves.

    Sorry Dinah.

I don't use that word for hillary, but pretty much EVERYTIME I think of Cindy Sheehan.

But I understand what he is going through.

    point taken.

I meant imperial nobility in the sense that they do tend to be self serving panzified egoists. It isn't a universal, but it is valid enough for such broad generalizations.

Sides, I'm an American, where a middle classed white guy can be the first black president.

I thought that they were engaged for marriage prior to the war, and he said he would withdraw from the proposed marriage because as prince consort he wouldn't be allowed in harms way.

But Obviously you are much better referenced than I, I only mentioned it that I thought I saw or heard that in one of the billion or so documentary's about liz's wife.

(I just wanted to describe the nature of my mistake, not to counter your info, I don't have much, I just thought I remembered that cuz that is the only real nobility I can find in european nobility, and it looks like it's wrong.)

I think I saw something about how prince philip (is that liz's husbands name?) threatened to withdraw from the marriage if he wasn't allowed to serve during WWII, or something like that.

Doesn't have anything to do with the arrogance of the media does it? After all the "First" is the most significant, but the media says it is only the PRESS that is contained. F religion, F expression, unless it is built on a good media cycle, F petitioning, by overriding the POWER of the 4th Estate?

    Oligarchy? or is it Plutocracy?

    Of course.

Question? If you ever felt the urge to punch someone, but were affraid to get hit who would you punch?

The person who accepts the strike, and responds with love? or the person who doesn't give you the chance to lash out and kills your family?

That is why the MSM is full of crap, and why the anti-christian, CHRISTIAN motive of all aspects of the US government is intolerable.

Agnosticism requires an acknowledgement of a KNOWING lord. I don't believe that.

I don't intend to offend you Willy, to tell the truth, I envy you. Truth is I lack faith in a LOT more than just the divine. :)

However? I envy your faith (not cuz I'm superior, but because in fact I KNOW I'm a lesser man, who sometimes has bigger arguments, but an argument only gets you into a fight :) I'm an Atheist, because the "god" I hope for, is not a loving one, but an indifferent one, I PRAY, not for an eternal joy, and satisfaction in the presence of absolute goodness, but rather, I pray for the indifferent god of absolute and eternal blackness. Close my mind, and let me rest.

And I have read, I've Sought out meaning throughout most of my life, and the bible did not suite me, and I like to think I am a good person, I have done good things, FAR more than bad, and I have always regretted and appologized, not to god, but to the person I wronged. If there is a Christian god? he should still accept me, because I accept the teachings of Jesus, though I do not name him god or prophet.

If God is so fickle that he can't accpet that? then F him.

    You once again changed subjects.

I DID mention that there is reason for concern, but the OVERSIGHT should assuage that. If you wanna say "no foreign company. . . ." blah blah blah, then you would shut down all but direct Naval shipments. You wanna fix this? outlaw unions, then the US based companies might be able to compete. As it is? it is the Government that oversees security.

I served, and There was one time, when a brand new chaplain maid the rounds, and I (being an atheist) joked about being a wiccan, I was willing to make such a silly statement cuz at the time (it was a VERY brief period of time) I was a bit of a golden boy, and I SWEAR TO GOD! (if there is one) This young, asian baptist 2lou chaplain arrived at my dorm (yeah, It's not that bad a life) and asked if wanted to talk, at which point he handed me his FRIGGEN PHONE! and there was a friggen dude claiming to be a wiccan on the phone.

I immediately hung up and appologized to the chaplain, and then he sat down, had a beer and we talked.

Chaplains are servicemembers just like others, they chose to not prosceletize (spelling?) their faith, ONLY so they can serve the needs of the men and women who serve their nation. Like I mentioned, I'm not a believe, but it is JUST as noble, and altruistic on the parts of chaplains to NOT force those they counsel into a particular faith, in fact, they tend to go out of their way to connect their "flock," though it is not the same flock they envision, with their shepherd.

and, unlike all other officer Corps, it is the chaplins who are at their best at their earliest.

Do you have a paragraph for the simplicity with which we the people can destroy the constitution? We can, it will never happen. Especially, "We the Conservatives?"

As for Selling the fort, you went to a non-sequitor.

We are NOT paying dubai to manage port security, we are hiering dubai to PAY for port LABOR! If you think hiering Dubai is gonna make us more vulnerable, you need to look SOUTH before you look EAST, as far as our ability to secure LABOR.

Any Sovereign nation, for purposes of self protection may not be held to any external contract, if valid reason is offered. Even if there ISN'T! we can do it, all we have to do is absorb 5 or 6 more UN resolutions deriding us. Thats to be expected.

Do you not know that under the Constitution We the People have the right to abolish Government when it no longer is Representative to the people?
Actually, it doesn't. It allows for an impeachment of the executive. You get to vote the for executive, but once in office, he is the executive. To CHANGE executives, you must convince your Representatives to Impeach him. If you wanna change the Nature of governance, which is contained in this quote, then you must either utilize the threat of the second amendment (which is impossible) and revolt against the current FORM of government, OR you must find enough people who agree with you to start hashing out Amendments. You are GROTESQUELY wrong about the nature of your nation. F a Civics class, download a copy of the Constitution of The United States of America, with a complimentary reader contained within the "Declaration of Independence." Or contain yourself before you Lecture me about how you, a "conservative" who voted for the current president have the right to destroy the, IN FACT longest contiguous national government in the history of the world.

The UN has nothing to do with it. It is a sub sect of an ideology that hates us, a sub sect that is willing to ally with us, ALSO, we have fundamental sovereignty, if at any moment, we distrust their actions we can cancel the contract; however, at the moment, they are allies, and we should absorb the bad press by those who are willing to hate muslims when it comes to doing a pissant job (and it IS a pissant job) but we should assuage IDENTIFIABLE terrorists when it comes to cartoons?

I think the the administration made the right TACTICAL move, based on a larger STRATEGIC goal.

I can get pissed off about anything, if I shrink it down to the moment, but this is a LARGE nation, with a LOT of problems. There might be concerns, but other than additional supervision, the only other option is betraying our own ideal's, OR deciding that we should kill everyone with a koran.

"informed representation" is why we are a republic, not a democracy. You cannot count on the public being informed in the same way as it's servants without either making secrets public knowledge, or without eliminating the free press, and managing information.

Democratic ideal's are necessary, but we need to stop PUSHING the populace into believing that their moments of fickle, uninformed judgment have any real validity. That is the flaw of the democrats, they PUSH for a momentary political gain, but the nature of our government FORCES them to take an average of governance, rather than being allowed to dictate the policies of the moment.

Quick aside, There was a book I read a long time ago(18 or so years I think) called "War Birds" by R.M.M. Mulloch, it's a sci-fi piece, with very little sci-fi, but it does a great job of showing the weakness and brilliance of our form of governances. When you read it (which if you are a sci-fi fan I recommend) you can see a US v Europe v Developing nation subtext to it. It's really a great book, lots of issues addressed. AND! it was written by a chick, which is surprising (cuz it is so ideal in it's militarism) with one exception.
