Yes, yes, a speech about freedom and the constitution was pointless. I expect more from a member of freerepublic.

Pretty silly actually. I wouldn’t consider myself “working” with my attorney either....pointless story.

    Cruz already lost?

That’s weird, because I continue to see Trump campaigning and Ted campaigning, and neither has reached the required amount of delegates.

No dear, you posted vague, guilt by association, conspiracy crap. I realize you may think those are facts, as many Trumpkins seem afflicted with this disease of the mind, but they are laughably not facts. If I were to judge Donald Trump by all the stupid conspiracy theories on the internet, he would be a mob boss, Nazi, but I am not going to jump on some guy merely because of loose associations, or vague assumptions.

I judge Ted Cruz by what the man has done. Not by whom he was caught talking to, nor what secret meeting some nimrod on the internet told me about, but by his actions.

By his actions, by his accomplishments in life, Ted Cruz is an impressive man.

Strange thing to say considering she won a statewide GOP primary in California....you know....the precise thing Ted Cruz needs to win this....

“CRuz picking her is proof the open border big money as well as Common Core funders are backing Cruz.”

I disagree. Ted Cruz chose her, because she was a fine candidate in her own right, and strategically she makes sense.

You aren’t providing “proof” of anything. The most egregious so-called fact you are perpetrating being that Ted Cruz is some sort of open borders guy. The man almost single-handedly defeated the gang of eight bill by not only leading the effort in Senate, but in the House as well!

So, while just because something can be termed a conspiracy, and certainly be true as well. You aren’t operating with an honest, true set of facts about the man.

Excellent choice for many reasons. Strategically, she will help him in crucial California, and in the general against Hillary. It blunts the ridiculous media frenzy over a liberal guy from the Northeast winning in the liberal Northeast (that is news?).

I always thought Carly was sharp, articulate, and principled. She isn’t as conservative as I would have liked, but it’s hard to beat out Cruz in that regard.

So, even though Ted Cruz did precisely what he said he would do when he ran as senator, he is a puppet? Show me what legislation Ted Cruz proposed or voted for that proves he is bought and paid for. As opposed to you, I require evidence.

Yes, corporations donate massive sums of money to buy influence. INFLUENCE. The corporation, more than your average Joe, would have it’s legislative ideas given consideration. Now, IF those ideas are essentially straight up payoffs, getting federal money, special tax breaks, etc, like we see quite often with Obama, Hillary and the Mitch McConnels of the world, than what you say is true. But again, show me the evidence with Ted, because vague insinuations without an iota of evidence is intellectual laziness, and with all due respect, asinine.

And just so you know, the Donald ALSO has received donations from financial institutions. I wouldn’t suggest that he is bought and paid for, but hey, maybe that’s just me. I require proof.

Merely accepting money from Wall Street doesn’t make you an insider. It is what you do when you are in office that matters, and from the Export-Import bank to opposing the gang of eight bill, Cruz has proven he is not bought and paid for.

It is so odd isn’t it?

No offense to anybody, truly, but this is precisely what happens when you allow emotion and passion to rule over reason. Anyone can fake being a conservative to get elected, but it’s the rare one that does what he says. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee....I can only think of a handful.

This is well known about Trump, and we are finally starting to see the truth of his positions. He’s pro-abortion, for raising taxes, for massive immigration, and is much more PC than he had originally acted with all of this bathroom nonsense.

If only the fools voting in the GOP primaries had caught on to this charade earlier....

Interestingly enough, THANKS to the convoluted primary process that has been much maligned, if enough people in the GOP see the light and demand that their delegates save us from him, it can be done. But it better happen fast!

    This is news?

If ANYONE thinks that a GOP candidate is going to do well in any of the Northeast states, they are deluding themselves. Even Trump with all of his bluster about New York. In the end, New York won’t be voting for Trump, Cruz, or Jesus.

What is nonsense? I agree that Hannity has given Cruz plenty of time. He has given them all plenty of time.

And even in the interview, Hannity admits that they have discussed ‘the issues’ a plethora of times.

Interestingly enough, you are making Ted Cruz’s point. Nobody cares or is overly concerned about about the delegate rules except for Donald and his supporters whom whine incessantly about them.

The truth is, Trump has benefited greatly by the rules, particularly early in the process. Only when it hasn’t benefited him, and more importantly, hasn’t applied himself by spending the time, money, and effort to capture these delegates has there been this sudden interest in changing the rules.

Excellent article from Hotair.com, and spot on in my opinion. This quote is interesting.

“The reason Hannity is being criticized is that he is giving a ton of airtime to a not very good caricature of a conservative, and that he is doing absolutely nothing to expose a faker for what he is.”

And Hannity should be criticized for precisely that. He claims to be a conservative, and all that entails, but when you listen to the way he conducts his interviews, he is clearly pushing Trump. He usually couches the idea in some sort of appeal for party unity, but nevertheless he is not supporting the only remaining conservative, Cruz. Listening today, you would have thought that merely because Trump won his home state, that he was predicted to win, and everybody knew would, somehow the race was over. Nothing has changed. We are looking at nobody getting the required number of delegates.

I’ve heard it mentioned that Cruz has actually had more air time than Trump which would be surprising, but would still be irrelevant to the way he treats the two.

This election has cast much needed, revealing sunlight on the conservative cause and not just the politicians, but many of the media in television and radio. It is illuminating how many are not truly conservative, but rather GOP cheerleaders.

    I agree wholeheartedly.

We already have false accusations of unfairness and stealing from day one of Trump’s campaign, with even threats of violence. I couldn’t imagine what would happen if the RINOs really did steal the nomination.

This is going to probably be a vicious convention to begin with, and circumventing the process by inserting a RINO would be a grave error.

So, let me get this straight Trumpkin. Ted Cruz should have fired someone in his campaign staff based on hearsay, and Ted Cruz should never have called on someone to be fired that had been arrested earlier in the day for assault. Wow!

And to answer your question, I could give a crap about either issue. Neither was the responsibility of the respective candidate, nor should it sway any voter. But here you are! Worried about something that was ultimately CNN’s fault, and even if it came straight from Ted Cruz’s mouth may be the weakest excuse I’ve ever heard for gauging a candidate.

Cruz is right as usual. It isn’t just the polling that proves the point, but also where a significant amount of Trump’s support resides. He draws a lot of liberal democrats, and as we’ve seen in many elections with these so-called moderate republicans, you aren’t going to win by out-liberaling a liberal.

    Please do tell Mr. Wulf.

I sure hope you aren’t referring to the Ben Carson bologna, which A) Had absolutely NOTHING to do what Ted Cruz did or said and B) Was an actual news report that was merely repeated. And finally C) Even if you believe all that has been claimed is true, has absolutely ZERO to do with upholding your word and your campaign promises, which is what I was talking about in this thread.

So, please tell me that you haven’t fallen for yet more of the Trump foolishness that has permeated this nomination process.
