We’re up to our ears with hubby’s okra. The cukes are done, the tomatoes too. I’ve started a couple more tomatoes for fall. Watering every day. Central Texas is a hot bed of fire ants and squitoes. We’ve been waiting for thunder or rain, but nothing, just sun and heat. hmmm. Tomorrow we’ll be getting ready for fall and winter plants. The community garden will get a grass cut, low areas will receive some gravel, beds will be ripped out, new compost will be put in them, tires will be brightened up, and hopefully a better watering system will be laid out. The one we have now is dangerous, because some will not rewind the hoses.
