Yes, He’s being paid well and is in awe of the project. He told us that it’s the biggest construction project on the continent and the they have the 2nd largest crane in the world there. The people working there are proud of the project.
My son left from NJ for Pittsburgh 4 weeks ago. He’ll be out there onsite for maybe 2 years for the Boilermakers, unfortunately, he is very liberal. Hopefully he’s listening.
I quit all my groups on Ravelry. I will just use their database because I have invested time in keeping my yarn and project inventory up to date. I will not participate anymore. Maybe a little trolling ;)
LOL, yes the pussy hat is the most popular pattern on Ravelry. They have quite a few knitting patterns that ridiculous. Some of the so called “designers” are just hate hacks.
Yes, I agree. They allow to much political junk on there. They should just do away with all political discussion. I go there for my craft not politics. They could have a political area on the site where members can post at their own risk and deal with whatever comes. The fascism is getting very disappointing. Changed my avatar to to the NPC with a pussy hat on it.
Exactly, I do like the ability to keep track of my stashed yarn and sell extra yarn on their site without extra charges. But I will not purchase from their advertisers or purchase through their site. I have to much invested with my project info and stash to delete my account.
I have been a member for years to this site. I weave and knit, and have purchased many patterns on the site. I was so disappointed when I read this. They have some posters that are frothing mouthed liberals full of anger and hate. Everything is political to them. They spend their days making up patterns with vulgar things to say about Trump on whatever they knit. Since this has been enacted I will not purchase any patterns through their website, either I will go through the pattern creators website or not purchase the pattern. They still allow all the left political hate speech.
I also commented that The Red Hen and the House Mountain yarn store should be taken off the directory of businesses in Lexington. I believe if all are not welcome the business should not be allowed to be included in public events or directories.
Most are contractors, cutting the federal workforce will do nothing. The federal contractors are larger and in more control of the federal government. If you’ve been to DC the number of opulent office buildings are a give away. The shadow government is where the money is.
