NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT THE FACT THAT PHYSICIANS ARE ABOUT TO BE CUT OUT OF THE OPPORTUNITY TO INVEST IN HOSPITALS! SEN. BREAUX AS A FAVOR TO SEN. FRIST (SELLOUT) IS PUSHING AN AMENDMENT TO ELIMINATE PHYSICIAN INVESTMENT IN ANY WAY. THIS IS NOTHING BUT A PAYOFF FOR THE BIG HOSPITAL LOBBY. SEN. FRIST ONLY CARES ABOUT "HCA" AND OTHER FOR PROFIT HOSPITALS THAT ARE GETTING THEIR AS*ES KICKED IN THE "FREE" MARKET.

SEN. BRAUX AS A FAVOR TO FRIST INTRODUCED LEGISLATION THAT HAS BEEN ATTACHED TO THE PRESCRIPTION DRUG BILL. NOBODY IS EVEN TALKING ABOUT IT. THIS IS THE BIGGEST FORM OF PROTECTIONISM FOR BIG BUSINESS SINCE THE GOVERNMENT BAILED OUT THE AIRLINES.

DOES ANYBODY CARE ABOUT THIS KNOD OF PORK!!!!

How can I find out who is on the conference committee for this bill? I know Thomas, Frist, Delay, Stark...?

Why is this so important for the Republicans? The bill itself is rediculously flawed. Plus, the pork attached to this bill will affect millions. i.e.- elimnination of physician investment in specialty hosptials, w/o a shread of eveidence that any person/community has been harmed. This is nothing more than pork for Frist and his HCA connections.

I know this is an oldpost, but I am looking for any update on this rediculous bill and more importantly; any info on who is in the conference committee determining the fate of this bill.

Also, if the Dems are not happy and feel it is dying, why are Republicans like Thomas trying to keep it alive?

    Thanks.
