I actually like the idea of a government navigator. Although I believe whole departments like Commerce, Education, Energy, etc, should be abolished, if that is not possible, the employees should be converted to navigators. For instance, a DOE navigator’s job would be to help get an oil rig permitted and pumping oil. A Dept. of Commerce navigator would steer a business through the maze of government barriers to productivity and profit.

Help. I am a newbie to this thread and gardening. I have 4 cherrie trees that should cross pollinate (bing and ranier). They did okay last year, all made cherries. This year, nothing. They made flowers okay, but no cherries. I put fruit stakes in and watered, lots of sun. I should add that we live on a lot that backs up to a golf course and this spring the course owners went nuts spraying and I haven’t seen a single bee or wasp. Its too late for this year, but what can I do next year to have cherries?

I have been lurking on the krazy dem blogs, and the MSM websites and it seems to me that this is one issue that crosses a line with the libs. For one, it is something that they pasted Nixon for doing, and they don’t want to be hypocrites, now. Also, it is something they believe they have been unfairly targeted with in the 1960’s re: Weather Underground and other lib groups being investigated, (rightly so, IMO). It is very ‘McCarthyish’ to them. They are all too aware that if it can happen to their enemies, it can happen to them.

My question is for the handicapped people: What if the only space left is for the handicapped? I have pulled in to a state park campsite, where the only spot left was handicapped. This was a self pay before you enter site, and we had already paid, it was late evening, and we had a tent to set up. Is it fair that the handicapped should always have a site 'reserved' for them, that they will not use, anyway?

I have also seen small parking lots, like in front of shops, that have only one, handicapped slot left. Also, I went to a grocery store once in Houston, where the only spot left was for the handicapped. You could park 4 cars in that spot, yet it sat empty and I left. Who does that help? I went to a state park in Louisiana to picnic by the lake with my friends, but the only table left was for the handicapped. Some of these parks collect the fee before you enter, and are self pay, so you can't get your money back easily.

Finally, at our church, after the main service, there is always a line in the women's bathroom. Some of the women insist that only handicapped women can use the handicapped stall, so it sits vacant, while a line forms. I would be happy to let the handicapped person to the front of the line, so she can get the handicapped stall next, but does it have to sit idle, while a long line forms? (Don't tell me to use that stall, the peer pressure and judgement from church ladies is too much for me.)
