“School of Darkness”, Dr Bella Dodd
This should be required reading for everyone. She was a devout Catholic recruited into Communist Party while at Hunter College. Went on to Columbia w/ Counts & Dewey.
As a Communist, she headed the largest teachers union in the country. Fascinating story of how the Communists would organize & recruit at the national teacher conferences.
She was expelled from the Party in the early 50s and was immediately labeled a “racist”, seriously.

1. My Struggle with Feminism is Black, by DéLana R.A. Dameron
2. Revolution, by Dr. DaMaris Hill”
Revolution ain’t a date in a history book
It’s an ivy that thorns
A lily that pricks. It stings
Like the splash of a copper colored girl
running in a skinned knee
ruining her Easter dress
Revolution is the taste of honey
and the revenge of the hive,
there is never enough time to watch
the swarms die. Revolution ain’t got sh—
to do with facts. It is all faith!”
Dr. DaMaris B. Hill is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and African American and Africana Studies at the University of Kentucky. Her scholarly research is interdisciplinary and examines the intersections between artistic criticisms, cultural studies, and digital humanities.”

Target CEO Brian Cornell: The Boycott Isnt Hurting Us
May 18, 2016 Business, Civil Rights, Hate Groups
Fortune reports:
Target reported a disappointing set of first-quarter results on Wednesday and warned investors to expect a slight drop in business in the current quarter. The discount retailer pointed to many factors pinching sales, damp and cool weather in parts of the company and skittish consumers, among them.
But one thing not hitting sales is the purported boycott of Target by many customers offended by the companys announcement last month that it would allow transgender customers and employees to use the bathroom in its stores that aligns with their identity. That came soon after a controversial law in North Carolina was passed about the use of bathrooms.
