the last time I listened to Cramer he was saying gas was going UP to 5 bucks a gallon, remember that ? For somebody supposedly in the know, he doesn’t know squat....I guess his little empire is falling apart, that’s why he’s so alarmed

It wsan’t that long ago when Cramer predicted 5 bucks a gallon for gas.....and then T. Boone Pickens publicly stated gas would be back up by years end (which year I wonder) to over $100 bucks a barrell.......No matter how much OPEC cuts, if the demand isn’t there anymore (everyone’s broke since their price hike), nobody is buying and we could see $20 bucks soon.......and Russia will not be able to invade the world as they have tried with their newfound wealth.

To whom does she owe this money?

When Chillary was traveling thru Western states like Oregon, she had to rent certain facilities which gave her the credit right away but she has NOT paid up. Here in Oregon she has lots of debts that the locals expect to get paid. Remember when she was so proud of herself for not quitting ? well the reason she amassed so much debt was she never had enough sense to quit and now she has all that debt....nobody’s problem but hers, I dont think the Obama campaign money can be used to pay her debts....the Clintons have millions so she should pay her own way...maybe another book deal ?

The media chose to expose Joe while ignoring Obama’s BS.....

we have just had 2 years of media exploring these candidates....let’s see now, Obama went to Harvard, was the President of his class and chose to work for the poor people of Chicago, not some high priced job on Wall Street...learning just how poor people live and survive, he met many others who had their own reputations just like everyone else. He probably got a lot more than he bargained for, with the economy crashing under Bush’s control but his dedication to public service enabled him to withstand all this criticism and name calling and he had WON. He has conducted himself in a mature manner, and I feel will represent our country in a dignified manner and be one of our finest leaders because he doesn’t represent Hallibrand or Big Oil ...the winners in the Bush administration....Bush fooled me too as I voted twice for this disaster myself...live and learn

I guess you will be throwing your “economic stimulus” check away so you don’t buy anything for your children or feed yourself and you can continue saying this stuff........

Guess what ? your government just voted in favor of a 700 Billion dollar “bailout package”....you don’t see this as a form of “socialism” ? You are already there, and for some reason I dont think you are in the upper tax bracket to be worrying about having to pay taxes....just a hunch

I agree with you completely....when one does not have a parent or relative to call in times of economic hardships, it is a great thing to have puble assistance to get you back on your feet again.

you have so much hatred going you see it in what you read....I am not saying anything is wrong with welfare, but when you have used it in your past you can’t legitimately call it socialism when others need it....that is all I am saying ......

The thing about Joe the Plummer is that he is NOT real, just a prop to try to tell a story....He is not really a plummer, had taken public assistance and is NOT who he pretends to be....that is the media focus on this guy....they will look into everybody and if they are full of BS, they will expose them...that is their job.

The deal with Palin is she didnt stop the bridge to nowhere among many other things she boasted about the night she addressed the convention. Is it not a conservative quality to expect the truth out of people ? that is where I am coming from

Yes it was FOX that had this segment on ole Joe......he’s also misinformed about what welfare really is...hardly the one to speak out on socialism..........

Colmes: Well, let me ask, you were on welfare once, was that taking somebodies else’s money and giving it to you?

Plumber Joe: Paid into welfare. It something to be used, not to be abused like it often is.

Spoken like a true wingnut. He’s perfect for FOX News. Colmes nailed him pretty good. He talks about his principles at the end of the clip, but really they are no principles at all, just the principle of a wingnut.

    Jed has more:

So it turns out that when Plumber Joe was a child, he was on welfare, not once, but twice, and he credits it with helping his family ultimately lead a middle-class life style. He defends having received welfare by saying that he’s subsequently paid into the system.

Suddenly we have Joe The Reasonable, right? Well, not exactly. Plumber Joe has got something of a tax dodging problem. In the end, he’s just another typical Republican hypocrite.

I agree with you, they usually put the guy (if single) to work, however, if he has a family I think they can put the whole family on welfare.....there are many articles (just Google Joe the plummer AND taxes) about his back taxes, the lien on his property, the fact he never was a licensed plummer, and never got a journeymens license to practice under someone else....as I said before, not a good example. I am a Viet Nam Era Vet and we had a lot of agencies to help us find work once we returned from active duty, dont know about good ole JOe tho.

what a joke this guy is, it was reported on the news today that Joe was on WELFARE twice, and owes his share of back taxes.....nothing wrong with that Joe, its like real people need help from time to time, dont call it socialism.

I think central casting could have done a better job with him and Palin....you gotta check these folks out before you put them on a pedestal

Geees I guess the American people are too smart for this SMEAR campaign.....It’s not working......
which makes me think of all the negativity coming out of FOX news, you might wonder if this “foreigner” Murdoch, is trying to overthrow our system with a barrage of lies and smears ? And how about Palin ? she addressed a group “this year” who is in favor of seceding from the US, and her hubby is a standing memeber ? With all those natural resources up there in Alaska, wouldn’t that be a good reason for their actions ?
According to her last meeting with them that she addressed as Governer, she wished them well......

Maybe it’s time for a little introspection.......no wonder we wind up with leaders we can’t stand, one side gives them a free ride because they are too preoccupied with their competition.....I am not a lefty, just a disappointed Bush voter.

  • Panel: Palin abused power in trooper case

I think they are saying this is an impeachable offense....I copied the ruling...........

    Findings:

    Finding Number One:

For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) provides

“The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.”

    Finding Number Two:

I find that, although Walt Monegan’s refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.

    Finding Number Three:

Harbor Adjustment Service of Anchorage, and its owner Ms. Murleen Wilkes, handled Trooper Michael Wooten’s workers’ compensation claim properly and in the normal course of business like any other claim processed by Harbor Adjustment Service and Ms. Wilkes. Further, Trooper Wooten received all the workers’ compensation benefits to which he was entitled.

    Finding Number Four:

The Attorney General’s office has failed to substantially comply with my August 6, 2008 written request to Governor Sarah Palin for information about the case in the form of emails.

Everyone’s been waiting for the bottom line, so there it is! More to come soon.

If you just Google Ollie North AND lying you get the history, some of which is here.......

Though she knows of the illegal activities, because she did not participate in meetings or telephone conversations with other key figures in the affair, she will later be able to testify, “I did not know many of the details relevant to the Iran and Contra initiatives.” Hall’s participation in North’s “shredding party” is her first direct participation in any criminal activities surrounding the Iran-Contra affair. After North learns that the Department of Justice is opening an inquiry into the sale of arms to Iran, North secures a number of documents from NSC files showing that he had violated the Boland Amendment (see October 10, 1984) by aiding the Contras. North marks the documents with handwritten revisions, changing the text to make it seem as if North had not violated the law. He then gives the documents to Hall, asking her to retype them to include his corrections and then replace them in the files. Hall does so, but does not finish the alterations before North calls her in to help him shred documents, including notes and phone records. Hall later estimates that she and North shredded documents in piles of 12-18 pages for close to an hour, shredding in all a stack of documents almost two feet high. The shredding and alterations continue through November 23. She will later testify that she had never shredded such a large quantity of documents. [Reeves, 2005, pp. 367; United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, 12/13/2007]

In essence, your point here is; “if Obama gets elected, all of this will magically stop.”

I am making the point that it’s time for a change in thinking and methodology.....McSame wants to continue the war in Iraq, has no new thinking about how to get out of this jam (his administration put us in). Perhaps Warren Buffett can direct this economy in a positive direction since he is a known expert. Rather than Bushie just withhold income (taxes) from those who can afford to pay them, or just give away $300 bucks to every taxpayer, maybe a little intelligent thinking can help us out. Bush has gotten us to the highest price for oil, bankrupted our economy, and has NO idea of what the f-ck he is doing....has the lowest approval in history....what more can he do ?, leave the white house in flames as he is going down the driveway ? We NEED a change in personnel who KNOW what they are doing. Bush can get a job with Cheney’s old firm, he has done the most for them.
