Ian Huntley has just been found guilty of the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman,and has been given two life sentences,by a majority jury vote of 11 to 1.His girlfriend,Maxine Carr,as been cleared of assisting in the girls deaths,but has been given 3 and a half years(half of that suspended)for perverting the course of justice.She has served a year on remand,and therefore will be eligible for parole,given good behaviour,in the coming summer.
