"If the sight of the guns didn't deter these 5 young adults then how do you know the sound of a warning shot wouldn't have just escalated the issue?"
If this had been a case of a burglar climbing in the window in the middle of the night, then no warning shot is warranted. I agree that them even being on his property meant that they were already looking for trouble, but I feel that when youre the one holding the gun, you hold the responsibility of when to use it. Firing a warning shot wouldnt have hurt. If they still proceeded, then he could have taken action. Just MHO.

Thank you.
Everyone has been just as nice as can be. Although I havent jumped into the political side just yet..Im waiting to get my feet wet before getting into too much trouble. :o)
Went out with some friends for dinner and dancing on Friday. Yesterday I spent all day and night with my 3 month old niece, who is the joy of my life... and today, I went to mass and tried to enjoy the day off.
I grew up in a small town in rural Virginia. My folks didnt have the money to do much traveling so I didnt see anything except my own backyard (so to speak) for 18 years. When I went on my first trip to Montana in college, I was mesmerized. A few of my galpals and I drove there from VA. Ive been convinced ever since that there is nothing that can replace real life experiences. You have to get out there and see it to truly appreciate this awesome country of ours. Your kids will only benefit.
