Thanks. Actually, I have written dozens of these things to as a way of keeping my sanity in the Obama Error [sic]. I’ll try posting others from time to time here in the humor section and see if there’s a positive response.

    So, Help Me, God

OBAMA: We need a new approach in the Mideast. Israel can’t kill every diehard. Rahm?
EMANUEL: Remove the militias and it’s over. Those guys love death, but a free pass to America trumps that. Offer permanent visas to bona fide jihadists—Iranian references helpful but not required.
OBAMA: Interesting. And we could employ them as Border Patrol tunnel specialists in the Southwest. Valerie?
JARRETT: Let the Palestinians have their homeland. Resettle Israel in its own autonomous enclave in Utah. It’ll drive the Mormons crazy.
OBAMA: That’d get me points with Evangelicals. And we’d have a vibrant intranational trading partner—take some heat off me when I kill NAFTA. David?
AXELROD: Convince the Palestinians that they’ll never beat Israel, but Iran is ripe for the picking.
OBAMA: Hmmm . . . turn them on their sponsors. They might go for it if we give them a chunk of bailout money. Leon, what happened in Gaza today?
PANETTA: You mean, where the pyramids are?
OBAMA: Uh, no, that’s Giza. How about the West Bank?
PANETTA: Umm, the big savings and loan in Houston? It failed?
MICHELLE: Geez, I warned you. I’ll take CIA; Panetta can manage domestic staff. And remember, I want an inaugural ball every January. You hear me, Barack?

  • Iraq: Al-Qaeda 'enlisting widows as suicide bombers'

Get a load of this sentence from an AP story on McCain's statement today about finishing the job in Iraq:

"We're succeeding. I don't care what anybody says. I've seen the facts on the ground," the Arizona senator insisted a day after a roadside bomb in Baghdad killed four U.S. soldiers and rockets pounded the U.S.-protected Green Zone there, and a wave of attacks left at least 61 Iraqis dead nationwide."

I mean, They don't call it the "Ass. Press" for nothing.

I completely agree about Carville. I despise him, but I am so sick of people demanding apologies that I felt a momentary, fleeting warmth for the man for saying, “Stick it” to the apologists.

  • Obama's brilliant bad speech (The LA Times!)

First two sentences of the piece say it all.

I have a white male friend, about 60, who used to be moderate right but has gone over to the dark side, who has fallen head over heels for Obama. The speech cemented his feelings. I find that incomprehensible, but it’s so. Lots of mushy-headed liberals said “Right on!” after The Oration, so while we may think the guy laid a big egg, the Messiah’s disciples think it ranks right up there with the Sermon on the Mount.

AP Story this morning on hitting the 4,000 mark in Iraq: "BAGHDAD - The overall U.S. death toll in Iraq rose to 4,000 after four soldiers were killed in a roadside bombing in Baghdad, a grim milestone that is likely to fuel calls for the withdrawal of American forces as the war enters its sixth year.

Thar she is--"grim milestone." You nailed it.

Future NBC Nightly News broadcast, opening moments:

Brian Williams: “Well, it’s finally happened. The American death toll in Iraq has reached 4,000. In our expanded broadcast tonight, we’ll have in-depth reports on how we got into the war in the first place, how many Iraqis have died, the toll the war is taking on families back home, the plight of wounded soldiers trying to piece their lives back together, the massive cost of the war, why Afghanistan has not gone so well because of the President’s focus on Iraq, the unpopularity of the war and how that portends for Republicans, and other war-related matters.

In other news, a massive earthquake has hit the west coast and California has fallen off into the Pacific, scientists report they have found a cure for cancer, and Jesus Christ appeared during a joint session of Congress, took the podium, and answered questions.

Now let’s go to our top story: 4000 dead in Iraq.”

I've never seen the left media salivating over a downturn the way they are this time around. It won't be long before the R(ecession) word starts getting used. And it's all so blatantly obvious what they're doing--trying to make the public skittish, deepen fears, and shape perceptions to help Democrats. The network anchors' eyes shine when they report some negative statistic.

But, you see, causing the situation to become worse, causing people to suffer more than they might have, that's a small price to pay for tilting an electtion. And most people have no idea they're being manipulated.

    “This ain’t Spain”

I used to think the same thing. I’m not so sure anymore. Still...if I had to give odds, I’d say a big attack on U. S. soil is less likely rather than more likely simply because Obama probably has the good sense to do nothing that could help McCain.

    The War Room -- 2008

    Barack Like Me

HILLARY: Darkening Obama's face in that ad a while back worked, and our denial flew. What else can we do to in this regard to turn things around?
BEGALA: Goddess, tint him even darker to scare whites and whiter to get blacks back on the plantation.
HILLARY: Yes! Wolfson, call in markers from the makeup and lighting tech unions. I want Obama darkened next time he's on ''60 Minutes'' and lightened on BET. Brock, plant a story in Redbook that Obama bleaches his skin; in Jet Magazine that he visits tanning salons.
ANN LEWIS: Majesty, run clips on Black Radio of Obama talkin’ white and you talkin’ black.
HILLARY: Ghettouttahere! Begala, have Geneaolgy find me a black ancestor. Whites won’t care, and I need cred in the 'hood. Our ''First Black President'' has been a bust.
MARK PENN: Mistress, a loaded compliment: call Obama a ''nappy'' dresser. Reminds whites he’s black. An Imus without the blowback.
HILLARY: Perfect! Carville, have Doc Botox come by tomorrow. I want my lips a little fuller: whites'll see me and think Angelina Jolie; blacks’ll think Aunt Jem....What?? That'd be a twofer.
    BILL CLINTON: Darlin, I wouldn’t ....
HILLARY: Shuddup, Mr. I'll-Be-the Bad-Cop. So far, all you've been is a whiny little pit Bill, snappin’ uselessly at Obama’s heels. Tomorrow, you're going to Darfur until I wrap things up. You got a problem with that?

I’m not sure her likability is actually relevant here. My premise is that a whole lot of white people on the left and in the middle are perhaps, without even realizing it, reassessing their black/white world view and thinking, wait a minute, this pc stuff is going too far. That redounds to HRC.

This piece isn't directly about Ferraro, but the more that conventional wisdom says that the Ferraro thing hurts Clinton, the more I'm beginning to think the whole affair, including the Obama camp's reaction, is going to make a lot of white voters, over time, begin to peel off from Obama, thinking, jeez, what the heck did Ferraro say that was so wrong? Doesn't look like it now, but I think this business may actually spark a cosmic shift away from Obama. Anyone else see this as a possibility?

Well, I’ll tell you. Generally, I don’t believe in automatically assigning guilt by association when it comes to lawmakers and lobbyists McCain talks to lobbyists, some of his advisers are lobbyists—I don’t care. When somebody proves a quid pro quo in the Boeing matter involving McCain, when somebody documents a lobbyist twisting McCain’s arm to go a certain way because of their friendship—with McCain giving in, then I’ll pay attention. Up until now, all I’ve seen is innuendo. That isn’t enough.
