If Mr. Obama were truly serious about creating a bipartisan agreement on health care reform, he would take some responsibility for the misinfirmation he and his own team have been spreading and own up to the fact that he HAS been talking about making decisions to cut treatment for end-of-life care. There was one line in Obama's Address to the Nation last night that just floored me. It came near the beginning of the speech where he lays out the causes for our economic troubles: "A surplus became an excuse to transfer wealth to the wealthy instead of an opportunity to invest in our future."
