I don’t have one near me but don’t particularly care. I would love to have a Roy Rogers (closest 1100 miles) and a White Castle (closest 200 miles) near by.
I grew up in a place called Maryland. I know northerners don’t claim us, and southerners don’t claim us, so I am not sure what constitutes ‘southern’ food. I’ll just retreat back to blue crabs and old bay for now.
I used to stop at one (Richmond IN) as a halfway point in an 18 hour road trip. They had a great haddock dinner for a great price but many other things were too over salted (esp. chicken pot pie).
I had not heard of him or his commencement address until you mentioned it an then I found it (Benedictine College 2024?) and watched it. thanks for the tip.
Genetics do play a part and can lead to susceptibility. One uncle used to drink whiskey all day until his 70s and then toned it down to just evenings. He was robbed of his youth at 94. I used to always see another uncle with a Strohs in his hand. He died at the tender age of 96.
“He didn’t care about them - that's really sad, isn’t it?”
This was said about the smuggler. What is even sadder is that the bureaucracy of the UK does not care enough to deport these people so no more see the attempt as worth taking and thereby destroy the smugglers business model.
