The predicament that Texas finds itself in is a direct result of the deregulation craze that swept the nations utilities starting back in the 80’s. This was all done under the guise of reducing the cost to the consumer. As usual the results, catastrophically the opposite. When the the electric utilities operated under the benevolent monopoly model it worked mush better than what’s in place today.
Or, this could be a “Harry Reid” style tactic. The problem for the challenger is he’s already guilty of one act. How do you defend against allegation #2?

Well Molly, that's exactly what states are suppose to do. The federal government has plenty to do on its own. Every state should act on its own citizens behalf. I find when the percentages are really small it’s hard for most people to comprehend what that small number means. Much easier to analyse the results if you view on an infected person per per the population. For us here in Texas that would be 1:1360756
