My husband is very allergic to cats and cannot visit my brother, a cat owner, for that reason. However, our son begged for a cat, and we purchased a grey Siamese for him when we researched that they cause little allergy issues. As long as my husband did not touch or handle the cat, he had zero discomfort as long as that cat was with us.

Mom had shingles, so I got the latest vaccine. First shot, arm just a bit more sore than other vaccines. Second shot, developed fever, fatigue by that evening, as if I had the flu. However, just about 24 hours from when I got the shot, all discomfort was gone, and I was fine. No additional problems two months later. Pharmacist said his parents both had the same experience, so plan for that second shot accordingly.
