Someone needs to explain to these idiots, that if 90% of the public was for this legislation, the red state democrats wouldn’t be in fear of losing their power if they voted for it. It’s that simple, it’s not that the NRA has $$$, as long as they believe that, they will continue to bring it up and continue to lose.

As a competitive shooter, I have helped a lot of cops learn to shoot. I could take the average guy who has never held a handgun and in one day I could teach him to shoot on a level that is above most in law enforcement. The only ones who are shooters are the ones that are ‘gun guys’ and shoot on their own. Most are of the pray and spray type.

As a long time small(relatively) business manager, I really get tired of this ‘you can keep your insurance’ talk. Any owner that has under 50 will definitely drop their employer paid plan. If you netted $150000 in your business with 35 employees, the penalty I think is $2700 per employee per year, they are going to pay $750/mo/employee for their plan. $94,500 or $315000, which do you think they are going to choose? I have already been told what this result is, there will be no employer paid health insurance!

He was a reservist in the military and spent a year in Iraq, maybe in a supply depot. He was only a LEO for four months before deployment, and shot himself in the hand during his academy. He is hardly a seasoned vet and a trained LEO, he’s no doubt a wannabe. He’s probably holed up in an apartment in LA, hardly the type of guy to head into the wilderness and survive. If he were a ranch raised kid from Montana, different story, he will go where he’s comfortable. They are following a dead end, he is in the city, LOL. He’s not the type to survive in the wild, that’s smoke and mirrors. If I were going to hide out, I would head back to our remote farm, cause I’m comfortable there, and could survive in one of the many abandoned farmhouses in the area with ease, when threatened, you will go back to your roots. He’s in the city, I guarantee it.

In the distant past, I managed a gun store and had contact with hundreds of police, state highway patrol, etc. The vast majority were literally about the nationwide average with a handgun. In other words, I was a competitive shooter and there were none that were even close to that level. I often helped correct some of their shooting issues, and some became decent shooters if they desired to on their own.

I guess having a set of balls in California must be against the rules for jobs in the public sector. I can assure you that if they fired an affirmative action employee, there is plenty in that file.

Yes, we should all remember that only these trained professionals are capable of handling the fine art of protecting us. Does anyone think the general population would be treated the same for opening fire on a few innocent citizens? It just backs up my knowledge that the average police officer is inferior in ability to handle a firearm in a stressful situation than the average CCW holder.

I agree, all she did was not get aborted, which is something of an accomplishment in Obama’s world. Super Gas is a tough class to win, but it is nothing more than a glorified bracket race, with solenoid shifters, throttle stops, weather stations, and delay boxes. Cut a light and figure the weather changes properly is a win. Let her win in a Pro Stock car, and I’ll be impressed, watching her set the counterweights on the clutch, and change valve springs between rounds, and I’ll really be impressed. I am a retired drag racer, and I wasn’t a celebrity driver.

I won’t be drawn into that one! My argument is why do customers have to pay their wages? Why is it customary for their employer, who benefits from their good service by retaining customers, to not pay them?

Hell, all the stuff on his website says that he was a collector of old guns, largely turn of the century militaria. I’ll bet he never is convicted of anything, a large portion of those are exempt from ATF records, they are possibly too damn stupid to realize that. I give a good tip, if the wait staff does a good job, a great tip if they are exceptional. That said, the thought always comes up, that I just paid $189 for a meal for two people and the owner can’t afford to pay his good help a decent wage???

I have seen some shoot that way, but mostly when the first time they fire. You don’t turn sideways like that and put the bottom of the butt against your shoulder, will hurt like hell. I’d love to hand Mr. Skeetshooter my .416 Rigby and let him shoot it in that position!

I have been a competitive shooter since college, finishing in the top 10 out of over 400 at the National Collegiate Championships twice. I have shot somewhere around 160000 registered trap targets and about 60000 registered skeet, as well as International (Olympic style) Trap and Skeet competitively. There are no shots taken on either range where the shot is take five feet off the ground, with the exception of International Trap, which will throw some low targets since the trap not only oscillates left and right, but up and down.

I am not a smoker, but by these standards, gays need to be charged higher rates. A risky lifestyle is a risky lifestyle and deserves an increase. I also think that by the same token, obese people also need to be charged extra. We all know what lifestyles are unhealthy, we can’t just charge extra for the ones that are politically correct and expedient.

Look at her grey muzzle, and tired eyes. I have had a lot of different working breeds over the years, numerous german shepherds and dobes, my current one is a malinois bitch. They are absolutely driven to work till they drop, which is why you don’t see a lot of them, they are WAY too high maintenance for the average dog owner. They love protection and bitework, but are over the top loving and social as a rule, and extremely easy to train, if you are capable of never giving them an inch of slack.

I hope this girl at least gets a couple of years of being a loved pet, she has it coming.

My last shepherd was a Czech bred female who I rescued from a bad home, had been worked over badly, and was a notorious fear biter. After a couple of years, she worked her way back into the fearless, strong minded dog she was bred to be, but succumbed to a long struggle with Addison’s disease, got weak enough I had to carry her in and out of the house, finally passing on our living room floor with her head on my boot just before Thanksgiving 2011.

Unfortunately, the majority of the humans I’ve met don’t measure up to either one of these, maybe the old saying about the more I’m around the public, the more I like dogs is true.
