West Virginia’s secretary of state on Thursday denied Don Blankenship’s bid to appear on the Senate ballot as a third-party candidate, a victory for Republicans hoping to consolidate votes against Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin in the general election. Secretary of State, Mac Warner, said Blankenship’s bid would violate the state’s "sore loser law" preventing a candidate who lost a primary from running again in the general election. Blankenship ran in the May GOP primary but finished a distant third, and submitted signatures earlier this week to run in November as the Constitution Party candidate.

According to a new Rasmussen poll, a majority of Americans blame illegal immigrant parents for the child crisis on the border over the U.S. government. The media has put a hyper focus on the separation of families at the border over the last several weeks, leading President Donald Trump to sign an executive order ending the separation. Current U.S. law does not allow families to be detained together if the parents are referred for prosecution for illegal border crossing. However, the Rasmussen poll shows that Americans don’t blame the Trump administration for the approximately 2,000 children who have been separated...

The Broward Sheriff’s Office captain who initially took charge of the chaotic scene at a Parkland high school where 17 people were killed told deputies to form a perimeter around the deadly scene — which they did instead of going in to confront the shooter, according to a partial BSO dispatch log obtained by the Miami Herald. Capt. Jan Jordan, commander of BSO’s Parkland district, gave the order, the log shows, identifying her by her police call sign.

This November 5, we call on everybody, not just those lucky enough to have red hair, to celebrate all the benefits that come from having one the most alluring and rarest of hair colors. Established by sisters Stephanie and Adrienne Vendetti, co-founders of “How to be a Redhead” and authors of the “How to be a Redhead Beauty Book”, the annual event is now in its second year. Adding to the many redhead festivals that take place internationally throughout the year and to the latest map hoping to track all the redheads in the world, the celebration is helping to...

The shooter was identified as Nathan DeSai, FOX26 reported, citing multiple sources. An ABC13 reporter who spoke with DeSai's father said the man had tried calling his son numerous times on Monday but had only gotten the man's voicemail. ..."For law-abiding Americans without knowledge of the dark side of our current illegal immigration crisis, all this is unfathomable. For those who know the truth about the “La Raza” movement, these demonstrations were a prophecy fulfilled. It is past time for all Americans to know what is at the root of this outrageous behavior, and the extent to which the nation is at risk because of “La Raza” — The Race. There are many immigrant groups joined in the overall “La Raza” movement. The most prominent and mainstream organization is the National Council de La Raza — the Council of...

So I figured the crowds would be down some now that the new Chick Fil A is open in east San Jose. I went at 1pm today (Saturday Sept 1) a full week after the official opening. Was I ever WRONG WRONG WRONG. They are going strong. I had to wait thirty minutes in line (which moved really very fast considering the number of people in line). I had my usual...a number one with sweet tea and waffle fries. The food is just as perfect everytime I go no matter which restaurant I go to. So be brave folks. The...

I need to send some furniture to my daughter in Georgia. It is not a full sized load but rather one room's worth. I want to be sure it gets there as it has sentimental value (and is really nice furniture to boot). Since I figure that FR is the location of some of the most knowledgeable people around I figured some of you might have a recommendation or two for me.
