From what I know of the system, your goals are mine. I have worked to change the corrupt, money driven child protection system for years. The one where Hillary declared "It Takes a Village". The one in which the rules are "relaxed" because "the constitution is too rigid". The one where the government can take your kids from you because they don't like your politics, and then reassign those children to "better" parents, adoptive parents, for the tidy sum of about $10-12 THOUSAND DOLLARS of your social security fund paid to them as a bonus for severing your parental rights.(It's MORE if they can get the job done FAST!! The ASFA legislation Bush reaffirmed gives them LOTS of motivation, called "perverse incentives", to find a potential adoptive home to do FOSTER care, just in CASE they can sever your rights, (called "concurrent permanency planning") the kids are on the way to adopted by the time your rights are terminated. That gives them an EXTRA bonus check!!) The assertion of rights secured by the "constitution" is a sure way to gain disdain of judges and attorneys in family courts. Try it! I dare ya!

The things I have seen bureaucrats ignore, the things I have seen JUDGES do to avoid confrontation with their cronies, the absolute destruction of family, religion, virtually our way of LIFE, make it clear to me that revolution in SOME form is on the horizon. I concur. In my world, I meet people who are fed up with FATHERS being slaughtered in courts. I meet mothers who are angry that fathers can get judges to award them custody JUST because the father claimed she "obstructed visitation". I meet Grandparents who have found Judges unwilling to honor the statutes that give GRANDPARENTS the right to take custody when parents are unable. Black parents who think the attack on family is racially driven, low income families who believe it is economically driven, women who believe the attack is based on gender bias. They all have their "issue lobby" going. The fact is that the WHOLE system is corrupt,and it is "Driven by MONEY".. LOTS of money! This is yet another INDUSTRY created by and for the benefit of the liberal elites.

There IS no such thing as an honest politician, even ones who think they are. If we continue to allow the politicians, (mostly the attorneys) to drive the "living constitution" into oblivion, by the time our kids are grandparents, they won't HAVE a country, and certainly not a FREE country.

I feel tremendously responsible for this status quo, and intend to do everything in my power to remedy the situation before I check out. My generation (I am 53) were VERY socially and politically conscious in the 60's. In the 70's, we were caught up in the chase for investment portfolios and the rat race of raising teenagers, then in the 80's, getting kids into college, caring for aging parents, etc. We dropped the ball. THEN, in the early 90's, some of us stumbled into reality, woke up and were shocked to find out what had happened while we were apathetically too busy to pay attention.(I can't count the times people have said to me, "I don't pay much attention to politics, it's boring and too complicated." or "I don't have time to keep up.") It's like we elected some fellow baby boomers to the Senate and House and trusted them to keep a handle on things FOR us. When we woke up and realized they'd sold us out, there was almost too much water under the bridge to turn the tide back. I feel guilty. What MY parents handed ME for a world was strong and solidly planted in faith and family. What I am handing MY kids is pathetic by comparison. We have an obligation to try to realign and repair the damage our generation did to the fabric of this country.

I would be in DC with you if I had a prayer of being able. If some windfall comes my way, if I win the lottery, or whatever, I will see you there. If not, I will pray for your success in gathering like minded people to collect and collaborate. Thanks for carrying this to the Congress, and demanding that they represent US, and not their rich pals. From where I sit, regardless of what our other interests or beliefs are, on THIS issue we all agree. I can't agree more: who CARES why someone wants to attend? If they support THIS cause, believe in THIS position, we'll share THIS rally. I rallied for protection of gun rights right beside people who believe that abortion is the right thing. I STRONGLY disagree with them, but hey, if they believe in our right to keep and bear arms, then they were welcome to share that microphone. IT's QUITE possible that David is unaware of some of the background information about Kidd. He is one of those people who is totally consumed by his own research, and his monitoring of various legal cases ongoing. It wouldn't surprise me if he just isn't aware of all that this person stands for. Might be useful to email and ask him for his thoughts. He is a VERY outgoing and open guy, truly dedicated to stopping the judicial destruction of the constitution. I will send him a link to this forum and ask him to join us.

I know DAvid Grossack. He is an attorney who has flat had it with the judicial manipulations and counter-constitution activity. He has a website which is noted at the bottom of his letter. I highly advise anyone who is interested to email David, visit his website, and make the determination of his validity and the value of the rally for yourself. I would attend, were it not for the fact that I am disabled, penniless and about 2500 miles away.. Sigh. All I can do is hope that Freepers will stand behind David, his heart is good and his mission is ours.

The Institute has received support from many prominent individuals around the country, including National Football League hero Tim Mc Kyer, Human Events columnist Barry Weinstein and California writer Devvy Kidd.

Unfortunately, the House Judiciary Committee and its Chairman, Congressman S. James Sensenbrenner have refused to respond to our correspondence or return our phone calls.

We will not take this laying down. Congressman Sensenbrenner's failure to even grant us the slightest courtesy concerning this request or to consider the issues we presented are an affront to our Republic, a betrayal of his oath to uphold the Constitution and a grievous injury to the American people.

I am contacting the Capitol Hill police for a permit to conduct a rally in front of the offices of the House Judiciary Committee on April 17 at 1:00 pm.

I would like you all to not only join us, but help us publicize this event.

Thanks for helping to keep this one in the forefront. Although Chul Mo's story IS one of the "bad ones", there are tens of thousands of them all over the country. A couple hundred people traveled from all over to testify to a congressional hearing in CA in March. They provided the documents and evidence to prove the stories, spoke to the news and crowd and congressmen, and waited for some sort of response. That was seven months ago, and I know of one case that was possibly effected by that effort.

People ... human nature,is a sort of pathetic thing. They reject the entire idea, many who have no idea arguing that social workers are benevolent souls seeking only to help beaten, raped and starved kids. I think if the public admits that this problem exists,on the scale that it is happening, they don't feel safe. They feel helpless and vulnerable. IT is easier to pretend to themselves that people who lose their kids deserved it, and that if you didn't do anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. If they truly faced the TRUTH of the stories, they would likely quit their jobs, pull the kids out of school, and stand an armed guard. That is seriously the level of danger this problem presents. And it gets worse every day, and kids are suffering in horrible conditions in foster homes, because the general public refuses to accept the facts, and cannot seem to be motivated to take a stand against it. Sad I think, that of all the adults in the country, only a handfull, maybe 200,000 are willing to stand up and fight to protect our kids. I think more and more about the Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire and wonder how long we have left.

I am the director of Colorado Family Rights Assn. We are a spur of the National Org, American Family Rights Assn. This organization, a loose group of about 100,000 parents and professionals who are sickened by the out of control Child Protection Agencies, has taken on the Chul Mo Sohn case and we are mounting letter writing campaigns and support rallies for his children's release.

Our associate in Sacramento, Bill Tower, has been in touch with Chul Mo privately, Chul Mo and Wen visited he and his wife and children at their home a few nights ago. Chul Mo is now out of jail, finally bonded, under an outrageous amount of bond which I cannot remember at the moment. Bill says Wen is very engaging, very "old for her age" which is only 14. She is a student at the university, bright, articulate and ANGRY at the things which have been done to her family and especially her baby sister. It is my understanding that Chul did nothing to warrant placement of the kids in a foster home originally. His only crime was being broke. Since he had not established himself financially yet, and his ex wife was abusive, the children were placed in foster care to provide safety for them while the case could be sorted out. When this "Judith" person was injected, and began her venomous handling, and when Wen and Chul Mo objected and resisted some of her exalted authority, the real trouble began.

Since technically, the children had been placed as wards of the State of CA, when Chul took them and went to VA, he violated a court order, placing him in contempt. The final claim against him is kidnapping, of course because it is a much more serious charge. I wish that I could outline for you here, the thousands and thousands of cases similar to this that we of AFRA read and view the records of every day. Most of the members of AFRA are Family Rights Advocates. Since the average parent has no idea, when someone makes an allegation against them, most likely anonymously, of what their rights are, or what to expect, they are often already far down the road of bad legal decisions by the time they contact us. Still, the money driven agenda of the Child Protection Agencies of the country have long since abandoned the protection of children, and are driven by federal funding streams, draining your Social Security Fund daily in a HUGE way. This crescendo has been building for over thirty years, since Mondale got his CAPTA passed in 1974. Every year, some bleeding heart zealot gets some new bandaid added to that Act to "fix" it. And every year, the mass of bureaucratic red tape and out of control power gets heavier against the sanctity of a family.

There is a form letter on the AFRA site for use in a letter campaign for Chul Mo. On Dec 1, groups of family rights activists all over the country will be going to local DHS offices and spending the day handing out flyers and information to try to bring public awareness to the plight of ESPECIALLY low income families. PLEASE throw your hat in the ring for the day. The help of FREEPERS will be absolutely essential to the success of this effort. Read the AFRA website, see the proof of our position, and then PLEASE come out on Dec 1 and help us open the eyes of those who still believe that they are paying taxes to protect kids. I am NOT going to advance this argument. It is clearly established that the US Govt is out of control. Why is it so damned hard for people, who will READILY agree that government encroachment exists in EVERY other arena, to grasp this Child Protection issue?

I feel really badly here. I specifically told Kelly to post this Dec 1 Rosa Parks march/protest to the Free Republic site BECAUSE I knew how fiercely patriotic, and how fiercely against government intrusion into privacy this group is. I just KNEW that of all people, FREEPERS would GET it, without a road map to draw the picture for them. I am a bit embarrassed that Kelly encountered the sarcasm and opposition but also heartened that some of you can embrace the concept that THIS TOO is yet another venue in which the US Government is involved arbitrarily, and in which (as usual) they take a bad situation and make it LEAGUES worse by their "benevolent intervention".

Surely most of you must have known a parent who got divorced, and got screwed in the custody battle, sometimes losing custody to a worthless parent who endangers the kids, because of some personal bias of the court, or because of the accusation of some abuse that didn't exist. I would be willing to BET that some of you have encountered situations where BOTH parents lost the kids because of a false allegation that backfired, and NEITHER parent ends up being believed.

The courts should not be meddling UNLESS there is a proven situation of abuse which REQUIRES the child's immediate protection. IF that is the case, then it is child abuse, and should be handled in a criminal court. This propensity for a lesser standard of evidence, hearsay readily accepted and relied on, etc has to stop. The custody of your children is a liberty interest, protected by the constitution. Unless someone can PROVE by the standard of criminal court, that you have abused your child, that custody should NEVER be disrupted. Dirty floors, unwashed dishes, holey tennies, do NOT constitute dangers to a child of sufficient nature to warrant traumas like being separated from parents and family. What they currently consitute is an EXCUSE to add your kids to the nations MONEY mill, sucking millions of dollars from the NEED to care for them and dictate their rearing by law. The reality is, the most egregious abuse suffered by children in this country is caused BY the STATE and by the horrendous federal funding streams. AND the portion of that which is most unknown by the general uninformed public is that the money for foster care is being bled off of your social security funds... at the alarming rate of BILLIONS. The Child Protection System has long since become a 30 yr failed social experiment that has begun to harm more than it helps. It HAS to be redefined more strictly, and the right of a family to exist without fear of government intrusion has to be preserved. NO one wants to allow even one child to be beaten, raped or abused. Sadly, over half of the reported cases are NOT honestly reported even to the Fed govt who pay for the services. The FACT is that at LEAST half of all child abuse happens in homes NOT with biological family. In 1974, Mondale cried that 4 out of 7 kids were abused. We have spent BILLIONS to remedy that, since his CAPTA was passed. And now, 30 yrs later, 4 out of every 7 kids is STILL being abused, only now half of those are in foster homes and out of biological care. Please share with me exactly how we have improved the situation for the KIDS, which is SUPPOSED to be our goal? What we have accomplished is to create yet another huge, impotent Federal Bureaucracy. And it is no more effective or viable than any other of the many government intrusions which we all pay dearly for.

The adoptive parents, paid a supplement til age 18 for the child's support, just like a foster parent, are honestly only glorified foster parents. They changed the name of the status, but not the factual characteristics. It has become a war of words,a contest of semantics, not an honest attempt to insure the safety and security of a child. It is a MONEY game, and our children have become the fodder for the mill. At LEAST 25 individuals gain their LIVING from every new child protection case. NONE of those people is likely to do things that will reduce their customer base, and reduce the NEED for their particular "business interest".

Think, please? Measure this issue against every single other issue before us as a group of people who oppose the out of hand government RIGHT to interfere in private decisions. Visit those websites that Kelly posted for you.. And THEN, PLEASE find out where your local DHS office is, and be there on Dec 1 to pass out flyers and gain notice of the public to this issue. We MUST have the public outrage to fuel the changes, in the magnitude that we MUST effect if we are going to stop the child abuse being perpetrated BY THE STATE AND FED GOV'T. Being PAID for over and over and over again by you and I. First we abuse the child, then we institutionalize the child, then he ages out of foster care with NO bonding and NO help, and becomes a career correctional inmate. It is a self-perpetuating monster, and only the civic minded outrage of a grassroots refusal to be complicit in this child abuse will stop it. PLEASE join us??? Seems like such a simple concept.. one would think easily grasped by even the dolts.. Armed means protected. Period. And the alternatives? I don't think so. Ultimately, the only person you can rely on to defend you is YOU. And that is a right, not a priviledge. Seems so simple.. Sheesh!

If any of you can muster some help for this lady, she truly is a crusader against dishonest and abusive Judges, and she puts her self in the front lines all the time. She could use some show of support and maybe even a few FReeper style signs to show the media that she is not alone.

I've been repeatedly writing my senators to either support an unamended S. 1805 or kill this amendment-o-fest!

I have been faxing, hoping to be heard. Same message. Frist on my list several times.. taking apart various "amendments" and explaining why they are cloaked examples of absolute socialism.. which we the PEOPLE are prepared to fight, "tooth and nail".
