The best reason I've seen yet illustrating why it is not in America's best interest to elect Obama. If "the world" prefers Obama, it seems likely their reasons serve them, rather than the United States.~lsee ****************************************How the World Sees Us, by Carl M. Cannon It's a good thing for John McCain that only American citizens can vote in U.S. presidential elections. If the election were held overseas, or even in the rest of North America, the Republican nominee wouldn't stand a chance. This was just one of the remarkable findings in a new Reader's Digest Global Poll in which we...

CBS "60 Minutes" commentator Andy Rooney has become the first big media personality to admit that he was wrong to oppose President Bush's decision to liberate Iraq. "I have not been a supporter of his. I did not vote for him. And I was very critical of what he did here," Rooney told radio host Don Imus Thursday morning. "And I must say that, fortunately he's president and I'm not," the former Stars and Stripes correspondent confessed. "It appears as though he did the right thing and I didn't think he was doing the right thing. "And, if he's listening...."...

OAKLAND, Calif., April 7 — Police fired wooden dowels and bean-bag pellets Monday at hundreds of antiwar protesters blocking a road near Oakland’s port. Several longshoremen were injured as police tried to disperse the demonstrators, who were trying to block supplies being shipped to U.S. forces fighting in Iraq. SEVERAL PEOPLE were injured, including some who suffered large bruises. One man lifted up his shirt to show a welt about the size of a baseball. Most of the 500 demonstrators at the port were dispersed peacefully, but police fired at two gates when protesters refused to move and police said...

EL PASO, Texas — One soldier described himself as simply a mechanic, someone who fixes things. Another's family thought she was relatively safe from the horrors of the front lines because she's an Army cook. A third was planning to leave the service to join the U.S. Border Patrol. They are sons and brothers, a husband, a mother. Now a handful of Americans have gained a chilling new title -- prisoners of war. Around the country, their tearful families wait for word, terrified of what has happened since their capture, even more terrified of the unknowns to come.

Bush's Palestinian Putsch SAN FRANCISCO-Now it's official. Bush is Ariel Sharon's bitch. When the Israeli prime minister began demanding that the Palestinian Authority jettison Yasser Arafat as its leader a few months back, even his fans knew he'd crossed the line. Israel was in no position to give the Palestinians this much advice. Sure, Bush had refused to even shake Arafat's hand, but the administration hadn't yet endorsed Sharon's ridiculous bid to beat the Palestinians by turning their leader into an Israeli puppet. "(Washington) is not an honest broker or a neutral intermediary; it stands completely behind Israel," Hamas politburo...

Heard on Fox & Friends this morning that Ari Fleischer "popped the question" to a woman he's been "seriously dating"...Anyone else hear this? I'd sure like to see a picture of her and find out more about the engagement. I have greatly admired Ari for his skill with the press and his grace under pressure. The Fox & Friends guys were bantering back and forth with one of their correspondents and this fellow was saying "hearts were breaking" over the loss of Ari from the market...Hope this rumor is true and that Ari has found someone special.

WORTH READING ABOUT PRESIDENT BUSH IN SHANGHAI I thought this was so amazing...and that you would want to pass this on to your prayer warriors who so faithfully lift up Pres Bush to the Lord daily. The e-mail below was written by Lindsey Yeskoo, the wife of Paul Yeskoo, a Foreign Service Officer serving in Shanghai,(who is a Christian) and details her experience of meeting the President when he was in China a month or two ago. It underlines why we need to be faithful in praying for the President in particular and all our national leaders. (RANDY EARLEY) ___________________________________ ...
