If that were true wouldn’t they have died out millennia ago?
Why didn’t the heat wave that allowed grapes to be grown in Norway in the middle ages kill them out? Or the Younger Dryas, 10,000 years ago? Something doesn’t sound right.
I thought the Thompson was rather uncomfortable to shoot. Lots a barrel climb. I felt pretty badass shooting a Lewis gun from the hip. It’s even tougher from the shoulder.

Eagles? I’ve lived in Arizona for fifty years and all the eagles I’ve seen can fly. I am not aware of any walking eagles but the again, I only lived within rifle shot of the border for even years. I might have missed them.

When I attended Arizona State University, back in the seventies, The Phoenix New Times was given away free on campus. I used to pick it up because they ran the comic strip “Life in Hell” by Matt Groening (SP?). That strip later evolved into “The Simpsons”. Apart form the comic strip it was worth every penny the paper charged. It was, in the finest sense of the term, a rabid left wing rag. They seemed at the time to make their money advertising head shops and the like. I still live in Arizona and am somewhat surprised to see they are still around. But I don’t hang out at the University or Tucson.
