Nah, you must be thinking of self-righteous holier than thou extremist.
    In which case I agree.

I keep guns less to fend off the foreign militaries and out of control U.SS. government than a forced conversion to some Jim Jones/Billy Graham type cult leader, by any name.

From the jack-booted intolerance for atheism and a free opinion on display here tonight, it appears THIS site has become the local communist party branch!

Apparently atheism is OK for the very wealthy and certain authors, but not the rest of us.

Nice to know the theocratic state is taking over, at least in the minds of some posters.
I will be watching for the forced conversions as competing factions vie to take complete control.

Hmm, the 21st century is now the new middle ages!

    LOL!

Yes, first amendment CLEARLY states the prohibition against enactment of a state religion.
If that does not allow and tolerate NO religion, it becomes meaningless as I stated!

I’ve been informed that my strong support for the constitution IS my religion, weather I agree or not.
As “Everyone has a religion, it’s whatever you are most passionate about”.
Will the person who told me that also be persecuted by the Theocracy wing of the “conservative” party?

I always figure those who are so very intolerant of atheism must be insecure in their own belief’s, so have to trumpet them all the louder to reassure themselves.

I don’t hate “God”, that would be irrational, like “hating” the easter bunny or unicorns . (They are fictional too, just in case you did not know)

    As predictable as clock-work!

Are you all espousing the SAME state religion?
Will you divide the country be religious region or state?

You display the tolerance level of the taliban, complete with insults and personal attacks.

So much for the free exchange of ideas.

If we do not have a right to free from religion, we de-facto have a state religion, it’s just not been formally announced yet.

When do the pogroms against the atheist and unrecognized religions begin?
Will they be a surprise, or announced here first?

    Hypocrisy runs rampant tonight.

Hmmm, I’m a bit on the fence here.

Glad they keep the fags out, but cannot support their intolerance of Atheist.

Was a member way back when, but boycott them now as I have come to have my own values and belief’s which they discriminate against.

Seems they do not really support freedom OF religion if they do not accept freedom FROM religion as a valid right.

Just like a lot of Freepers! ;-)

  • [Vanity] US vs. Mathew Henry (9th circus machine gun (922(o)) ruling). Future USSC ruling next year

    08/14/2012 8:02:45 PM PDT · 8 of 26
    Loyal Sedition to DCBryan1

“A machine gun is “unusual” because private possession of
all new machine guns, as well as all existing machine guns
that were not lawfully possessed before the enactment of
    § 922(o), has been unlawful since 1986.
Outside of a few government-related uses, machine guns largely exist on the
    black market.”

BS! there are an estimated 250,000 legal machine guns in circulation among the civilian, non law-enforcement population. (Exact numbers are not known out ATf as the registrations are confidential tax information).
So they are NOT “Unusual” outside Kalifornia.
They ARE much more “Unusual” in the black market, even most dumb criminals know they will get few breaks if the use a machine gun in their crime.

“[4] In short, machine guns are highly “dangerous and
unusual weapons”(WRONG, as noted above) that are not “typically possessed by law abiding citizens for lawful purposes.” (WRONG AGAIN, as noted above) Heller, 554 U.S. at 625,627.
Thus, we hold that the Second Amendment does not
apply to machine guns. (NOT an issue prior to 1933, cannon, machine guns, SBR and SBS were all common and unregulated)
Moreover, because we conclude (Wrongly!) that machine gun possession is not entitled to Second Amendment protection, it is unnecessary to consider Henry’s argument that the district court applied the incorrect level of constitutional scrutiny in evaluating his claims.
    II.

(There is a reason the Fed. Gov. had to create an NFA tax in order to “Regulate” machine guns, it was the only way they could side-step the second amendment in 1933 (NFA Act of 1934).

This is clearly not the best possible case to overturn 922.(o), but the ruling illustrates again that the 9th Circus is a bunch of clowns.
I am sure any other court would also have twisted logic and reason into knots in order to not admit the unconstitutionality of 922.(o), but at least they would have done a more professional job of it.

For the record, after MANY years of study, in my lay opinion, the NFA-34 and 922.(o) are both absolutely unconstitutional!
You can learn A LOT about them and their history by searching the archives at NFAOA.org

I’m wondering what role Facebook plays in these people going nuts?

It seems every one of them has such a page, and usually has crazy post on it well before the event.

    Anon idiots egging them on?
Facebook page an indication they have no lives on the real world, so only loose ties to reality?

Just wondering aloud, and no, I do not have a Facebook page!

TWO Fed. licenses required to manufacture or deal in NFA items.
Additional STATE licenses may also be required.
Unless he gets the “famous personality” special treatment, he would need more than thirty days to get the FIRST license, another 30-90 for the second.

Even then he would not be able to complete a legal transaction in thirty days.
F3 (dealer to dealer) transactions are taking 45 - 120 days, F4’s (Individual to another individual or dealer) are taking AT LEAST four months to nearly a YEAR!

The faster way would be to become an O7 SOT holder and build a legal post-86 Dealer Sample gun.
With special consideration from the anti’s at ATF he MIGHT get licensed, and a gun built and registered in two months.
Of course that still was not the bet, the bet is to legally BUY one in under thirty days.
And post-86 guns cannot be sold to the general public, so the resulting gun still would not meet the requirement to be a gun that could be purchased.

Using his position to take advantage of the Hollywood expedited transfer process would be cheating, it’s not available to the general public.
He is also NOT an LE agency, so no expedited transfer from that angle either.
Most LE guns are also not from the same pool the public has to buy from.

Ted could have made it a million dollars, or trillion, his money is perfectly safe without special chicanery being perpetrated by ATF.

If ATF did do a transfer that fast, the howls to congress from citizens still waiting several months for THEIR transfer would really shake up ATF-NFA.
I could almost wish Ted would lose the bet, just for the resultant shake-up at ATF-NFA branch!

But, still no support at FR for a solid separation of church and state, right?

I wonder how far Sharia as the state religion will advance before more people understand the importance of not allowing the establishment of a state religion?

It’s all so fine so long as it’s YOUR religion being pushed, not so fun when it’s the “heretics” of another “cult” taking charge.

    Hardly the first!

B1 Bob lost to fraud votes from illegal aliens who used the ID of nursing home patients, the employers who’s lawns they mowed, etc.

Investigation proved it, but the ball-less “republican leadership” refused to act on it as they feared “Alienating the hispanic vote”!

The illegals and felons of the left KNOW from prior experience that there is virtually NO chance their illicit vote result will be overturned, or that they will be punished if caught.

When I was a kid my uncle lived a couple of blocks from that plant.
Back then there was a constant acrid smell.

When I’ve passed through the area in the last several years there has been no detectable odor at all.

The wetlands in the area are also green and healthy, no oil sheen anymore.

No matter how clean the refinery is run, it will never be good enough for the “I wanta win a lawsuit lottery!” crowd.

You are welcome to invite a Nuke dump to open in YOUR state!

Yucca was chosen only because Nevada had so little representation in congress at the time, period.

We have enough “Down Winder’s” as it is, we have plenty of contaminated land, we’ve already been screwed “For the national good”.

Nuke dumps are just dumb, no matter where they are located, technology has moved beyond just throwing “waste” down a hole to be forgotten.

    Where is Mitt on this?

He could go a long way toward getting me more enthusiastic about voting for him if he would just release a list of E.O.’s that he would rescind permanently.

The automatic continuance of “Law” not approved by congress is just flat wrong.
All E.O.’s should sunset at the end of each term, unable to come back without an up and down recorded vote of congress.
As they stand now we get a form of dictatorship.
The executive is not to have outsize powers, three EQUAL branches of Govt.!

No, thanks Jimmy Cartah for screwing us all!

We should be reprocessing the very expensive “waste”, the peanut farmer put the order in place preventing our doing that.

Yucca is just stupid, a hole in the ground to be monitored for thousands of years.
But apparently you are OK with the “Screw Nevada” bill that enabled it, since YOU do not live here.

“Stopping” (probably only delaying) Yucca just may the ONLY thing Dingy ever did right!
